More to the point, every central bank has the ability to print money or conduct QE, which is really a better way to print money. And when I referred to printing money, it was really slang for QE in the form of a bond buy back.

I see this as the only "get out of jail card" that they can play. And really, it is just "keeping up with the Jones". The only other option is to roll the dice on a global economic recovery.

Keep an eye on Bank stocks today. JP Morgan reported 4% lost profits this morning and BofA, Citigroup and JPM are all down 1.5% already in early trading. Financials could easily lead the markets down this morning.

True but this was the first 4h breach and hold.
I do expect a pullback on the next candle after such a breach but typically, 4h breaches stick. Let's see if this is a typical breach.

Google which comes out around 4 pm est today sometimes has an impact also.

Update on JP Morgan Their earnings came out much better than expected after earlier headines were just reporting a 4% loss of profit.
