But will the new austerity measures be voted in?
Perhaps they will. If so, Greece will be bailed out once more and then we start all over again in December. My head is starting to ache.

I am not questioning this, and you know that.

I am questioning that concepts can limit your views.
That is all, and yesterday lesson shows exactly that. Denying that in my view is not healthy.

I just wanted to make note that besides having a place to share our analysis of the EUR, I started this thread in order to bring traders together in one place so that we could all learn something from one another about the diversity that exists in trading systems.

My belief is that when traders share their ideas in a forum such as this, it may help those who are lacking certain tools or perspectives to improve their analysis and trading techniques.

I do not ever what to see this thread turn into an environment where traders argue over which system is better. The system either works for the trader that uses it or it doesn't. There is no right or wrong.

We need to focus on the ultimate objective, which is profit. How we get there does not matter. If we can learn something off someone else on how to improve our own system, then that's great. Mission accomplished

Excellent point PT. Trader A and trader B can trade the exact same strategy/system and Trader A may be able to pull off a lot of pips while Trader B loses a lot of pips. Why is this? No two brains function the same. By throwing out ideas to one another, it allows us to incorporate those ideas into our own strategies. If they enhance our strategy, we keep them if not, we toss them. There is no right or wrong way, its what works for our individual brains.

Perfect example: I have trained over 100 people to trade the exact strategy that I trade.There has only been one person out of all of those people who can trade just like mysef but the rest of them were able to take some of my ideas and incorporate them into their own strategies to enhance their strategies. Likewise, I was able to take some of their ideas and enhance my own strategies. That is why forums for traders are so important.

We are sitting at a crucial point on the EURUSD. Price has tested the weekly 200 ema so normally I would think that price may reverse but the 15 minute chart may be forming a bull flag which if that plays out could take price to the daily 50 ema at 3768 before turning around.I will sit out until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I need some help here. Anytime I log-in to the Forum, my email becomes loaded with comments from the thread. I have always clicked on the link to discontinue flooding my box with the thread to no avail. I will be grateful for any assistance here. Swimology

Author Unknown

Once a young professor was making a sea voyage. He was a highly educated man with a long tail of letters after his name, but he had little experience of life. In the crew of the ship on which he was travelling was an illiterate old sailor. Every evening, the sailor would visit the cabin of the young professor to listen to him lecture on many different subjects. He was very impressed with the learning of the young man.

One evening as the sailor was about to leave the cabin after several hours of conversation, the professor asked, "Old man, have you studied geology?"

"What is that, sir?"

"The science of the earth."

"No, sir, I have never been to any school or college. I have never studied anything."

"Old man, you have wasted a quarter of your life."

With a long face the old sailor went away. "If such a learned person says so, certainly it must be true," he thought. "I have wasted a quarter of my life!"

Next evening again as the sailor was about to leave the cabin, the professor asked him, "Old man, have you studied oceanography?"

"What is that, sir?"

"The science of the sea."

"No, sir, I have never studied anything."

"Old man, you have wasted half your life."

With a still longer face the sailor went away: "I have wasted half my life; this learned man says so."

Next evening once again the young professor questioned the old sailor: "Old man, have you studied meteorology?’

"What is that, sir? I have never even heard of it."

"Why, the science of the wind, the rain, the weather."

"No, sir. As I told you, I have never been to any school. I have never studied anything."

"You have not studied the science of the erath on which you live; you have not studied the science of the sea on which you earn your livelihood; you have not studied the science of the weather which you encounter every day? Old man, you have wasted three quarters of your life."

The old sailor was very unhappy: "This learned man says that I have wasted three quarters of my life! Certainly I must have wasted three quarters of my life."

The next day it was the turn of the old sailor. He came running to the cabin of the young man and cried, "Professor sir, have you studied swimology""

"Swimology? What do you mean?"

"Can you swim, sir?"

"No, I don’t know how to swim."

"Professor sir, you have wasted all your life! The ship has struck a rock and is sinking. Those who can swim may reach the nearby shore, but those who cannot swim will drown. I am so sorry, professor sir, you have surely lost your life."

One of the things that I like about this forum is that we talk about what we do in real time. While I am currently playing my game, described by PT as ...well I cant remember the exact quote, but he thinks i am nuts...I am learning a lot figuring out how everybody else is thinking about price movement.

In addition to ignoring my "ten points of doom", I ignored a few key technical indicators... the daily candle formed on Tuesday, and the counterintuitive response of the market to news.

I am still a happy bear, despite the fact that my account is now down by 10%. I am betting on one key prediction... that the market will reach 1.30 before 1.45.

If it does, then I will be up anywhere from 10%-40%

If price closes above 1.40 I will change my threshold to 1.35. And if it hits 1.35 before 1.50, I will still be up 10-40%.

And if doesn't hit 1.50 but continues to range between 1.4999 and 1.3501 for the next 5 months I will probably still be in the green on this trade, even if it breaks 1.50.

If it continues up, with no pause or volatility all the way to 1.50, then my account will be down around 45%. But it will still be up from the point I jointed FF.

So I am still a happy bear.

they are even joking about it on bloomberg tv.. gives me a chuckle everytime i hear this..

To stop emails you need to go to your control panel (your profile) and look at the left hand column.

Under the Controls Title you will see Users options. Click. Scroll down to Messaging & Notifications. Under this title you will see Default Thread Subscription Mode. Set to No email subscriptions.

FF is a great site, but it took me about 2 days to figure this out.
