Find a Reasonable system that give you a winning rates 70%,Dont seek a holy grail or whatever
Try demo account with $100 balance and the rules is you only can risk 1-2% per trade,I give you 12 month to double it which its $200
Treat Trading as your own real business and there are many factors you need to apply,treat your loss as the bills that you need to pay for your business,and treat the winning as the Job you got from your customers,how to get the Job?Simply,You need to work hard,you need to find...

My analysis on the euro:
After PT's great analysis,
the euro has room to drop a lot from the fundamentals + technicals on a higher timeframe chart such as a weekly or monthly.
Think of risk aversion of the investors + institutions + firms + hedge funds. This is still early. Most of them are not playing their biggest yet. The last rally is definitely not made yet. With the Eurozone 'delaying' their demise, and averting the public's attention to Greece, instead of countries like Italy and Spain. Nice try. Greece in my opinion will default, that stuff about re-capitalizing banks is a must is basically stating the obvious. It doesn't give a go for anything to happen. Its a retracement of the overall trend i would say. The major problem to me is the fact that ECB cannot create or amend monetary policies solely through themselves. They've got the sovereign countries to worry about. They are not a central bank. Investors are not keen on investing in the euro-zone, they are taking profits and only 'scalping' the stock market. Mind the quotes. They trade on small news, that are smaller than the bigger picture. Like many say, a cell is only the small picture. The organism as a whole is the bigger picture. Put it that way. People know the bigger stuff is the state Europe is in, not some sentence merkel said about re-capitalization of banks. Its a belief wiped away as fast as a few hours. Right now im looking for more shorts than long in eur/usd especially, as to longing has more risk exposure against the bigger gamers in play.
Waiting for the right time for the US to inflate badly, that's our time to sell the bucks. The thing about technical analysis that really lets us down is the WHEN part. no one knows when, but can get an average prediction. In thinking somewhere in mid November around the tens.

To benefit those of you short-term traders who look at opps. on a nearby time, here is a chart with analysis for you. I also have the second one as the longer-term analysis in technical POV to see where price might go. Technical analysis is next to worthless without a sense of fundamental analysis. So take a small read on the post on FA, then read the fancy charts with cool colors and stuff .
Think of gann fans as support/resistance levels. Think of fibo time zones as the when the sup/res levels may be formed. On the daily its on november. im getting ~10s on my h1, and ~25 on my daily. November definitely something to watch out for.

The system I trade only wins 40% of the time but the winning trades are more than twice the size of the losers, with the occasional "home run" thrown in there!
I agree with the rest, he must find a mechanical system, preferably on a longer time frame, write a trading plan, know his entry, stop loss, take profit before placing the trade; he has to go on demo, use 2% risk and place every trade as if it was real until his DISCIPLINE is absolutely fixed before even thinking about trading live again.
He has to quit the discretionary trading, which is giving him the random rewards, making him concentrate on money management, not the profits to be made.
He must learn to POSITION SIZE, so that every trade will only lose a certain amount no matter how big or small the stop loss is; this will create prevent the emotions that are now clouding his judgement.
He needs to read "TRADING IN THE ZONE" by Mark Douglas.
How do I know this? Why am I giving this "advice"?
Because that's worked for me, that's all I know...
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

Do you have one that you can share? Does the focus have to be on winning percentage? What if it has 99 winners and 1 HUGE loser?
The system I trade only wins 40% of the time but the winning trades are more than twice the size of the losers, with the occasional "home run" thrown in there!

Ohoh, do not get burned.......
The way down the road is long and with much ups and downs for the EUR.
We will see years of deflation and the only asset I can see rising is USD, not gold, not real estate, not stocks and surely not the EUR.
Buy Gold at around 1000 and expect a rise toward 1250 to 1500 thereafter. After that we should see Gold below 1000. That will be the time to load the boat....
I never have a bias while trading. I see bigger picture, i see smaller picture, i see opportunities fullfilling my needs, i trade. Doesn't mean i say its a downtrend my bias is bearish. I dont have one. That is why i can long and short here and there. Flexible if you may, but i will heed your warning and advice.
If u are talking of highs and lows, its almost impossible to do on gold. We've always seen a demand. Is this the supply the bears are waiting for? Was that 1920 high bears want to drive gold dowwn?

Short-term usually counts for days until we see climatic action on top.Trading has nothing to do with years and years... if it's so, we wouldn't be called trader

From an Elliott Wave point of view, Gold has to give back some of its gains.
Gold is in a long lasting uptrend. That is for sure. But there is never a straight line to heaven. Is it?
Yes, there was always demand in Gold. The question is: for which price.
Look at the drop in price alone 2008. From above 1000 to sub 700 in weeks. That are a whoopy 30%. When you went into Gold at 1000 leveraged and had to much of hopium you certainly was broke thereafter.
As I said: there is no straight line to heaven.
Back to 2008:
Most of the Gold buls thought, that such a crisis would force people in a flight to safety into Gold. But the opposite was true.
I go with Robert Prechters "all the same" market theory. Prechter may be not the best trader around some people might say. But he is a brilliant head when it comes to technical analysis and socionomics.
In this theory all asset classes will depreciate, only USD will get stronger.
That is the work of deflation.
Keep in mind:
most debt worldwide is held in USD.
Now comes the one-two punch:
a) more and more debtors can not pay back their debt. Debt implodes and that makes the remaining USD more worth
b) more and more debtors are willing or forced to pay back their debt. So they are forced to buy USD to pay back their debt. That again leads to higher prices for USD
OK, back to Gold:
People will be forced, in this environment, to sell their Gold to pay their debt back. That will lead to more and more panic and selling pressure in the Gold market and will drive price down.
When was the last time we had a globally deflation?
Which country has since 20 years depression and deflation? What did it to stock markets, social mood etc.?
Regarding trading: yes, as traders we simply follow the momentum of the ups and downs. But it can not hurt to have a map in this curvy field :-)

1. When I put on a trade, the odds are in my favor
2. I know how much it is going to cost to find out if the trade is going to work
3. I don't need to know what is going to happen next to make money
4. Anything can happen
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.
