Now that everyone expects EUR USD to drop hard, what if it does the opposite, which is bounce of strong support? Makes sense too, right? Lots of shorts would be toasted.

Got short GBP/CAD on the open, and even with oanda's 30 pip spread still in profit in seconds

Every video this weekend, all the chats, everything, it's like ... short the euro short the euro. I mean, the BOJ wants to support the Euro. The central bank in Europe presumably wants to reduce volatility (one would assume). And quite frankly, what exactly is so endearing about the US?


European bourses are extremely low, and if Euro crashes, they'll just get cheaper.

I'm not trying to make the bull case here for the Euro, but all this excitement about the major short is just too public now, or not??

I went long at the close on Friday, wish me luck. lol Think the huge drop was due to the thinly traded market on Friday, last day of the quarter balancing of the books, and I think we hit some huge psychological support area that the major market movers are going to want to push price back over sometime in the next 24 hours, looking to get out at 1.36. However, from a price action perspective, took what I considered a nice head and shoulders or triple top on the 4 hr chart down on Friday, covered at the end of the day and went long, but I don't see any PA other than some psychological support telling me to go long, which is why I need some luck. haha

This question will be answered when markets open anyway, but does anyone know if most brokers will trigger your orders, stops, profit targets, etc, during the interbank trading before retail trade opens? Or do they wait for an opening price at 21 GMT before they fill your orders?

It goes by your brokers open and close time and fills to the nearest pip.

IE. IF you were long, and the market gaps below your stop loss, your stop loss will be triggered at the first available price by your broker, the openning pip.

2 right strategies on opening monday
1) if gap down, buy immediately till close level gap later on
2) if no gap on opening sell immeditaley till 33 level

I don't know the future, haha, but there's a lot of people freaking out and dumping pre-market, which makes it look like it will gap down. When it opens, it will go up. This market has evil tendencies and is often controlled by the bot genius army.

Anyway, what means that "nonfarm" part? Is it some kind of statistical bullshit to cover unemployment at farms?

Regarding China bank holliday, I dunno what are Chinese banks doing right now, as I aint commrade . Who knows what are they doing actually. I just know China central bank was trying to enhance its gold holdings. And when they realized FED is not going to stop printing cash and started expecting inflation, they swapped part of their dollars for gold. So when its bank holliday, they could stop selling bucks, resulting in a continuation of downtrend at EUR/USD. But who knows, not me. I aint fundies expert.

Don't cry & drink much , be cool & wait your broker open & not look anything elsewhere . you perhaps opened longs fresh & kept weekend with relatively bigger lot of the account to cope the monday open turmoils , lots of uncertainity always remains .If real price breaks 3370 then 3339 may stop with daily range low , previous though , may start fresh .
Anyway wish it be all ok when you open again .
