I believe wall of worry is the right term here. Everyone is terrified that it will go up (and thus be shorted), and everyone is terrified that it will come down (BOJ intervention).

We are in some hostage situation here which will need to be resolved (or not, for that matter).

The wall of worry is the slow climb up, falling along the way, in total fear.

Is this the situation?

@USDJPY has a special kind of moves which will be a solution for this current problem and its called 'Falling Knife 600 Pips" Once it spikes down your MT4 will be hang and once your MT4 become active again you see this 600 falling pips will be going up 400 pips over already...its very fast and happen in a second only

sounds horrible and evil. it would wipe out all my gains in a flash. i don't think there is any way to prepare for it except some kind of stop on existing position and a buy order "down there." I think you are describing the fear that is going to drive this higher. You are describing the terror behind the wall of worry. scary! I have goose bumps.

I don't think you guys realize that today is the beginning of a major reversal it will go up 600pips before it goes down 600pips from here onwards.

He's kinda right about the BIG spike down but the 8/4/11 confirmed intervention didn't have that but of course, a Sl would protect you from that.
Whoa be unto those that trade this pair and go commando. You'll lose some or all of your jewels in the blink of an eye.
Since 8/4 then there have been numerous 300+ spikes up and down, and most do happen in the blink of an eye but I'm guessing they're BoJ driven to clear out the riff raff that's wreaking havoc on the currency.

UJ Indeed slow but its kinda will give you a big spike surprise sometimes,in other word we can give it the name 4S "Slow Spike Surprise Sometimes"

You wont be sorry if you trade by Stoploss or with good MM strategy unless you bet big by waiting and hoping BOJ step in

I learned my lesson in a BIG way, and from then on, I always use stop loss. ALWAYS. Religion.

I've taken my profit, and will wait for a pullback now. Hope the train does not leave the station (yet). I hate this part ... extremely stressful for me :-)))

Hmmmm .... both Gbp and Eur far better movers towards the Jpy, both up more than 1% and further off all time lows when compared to the Usd (up 0.25%).

Doesn't look like a break out to me, imo just a dead cat bounce.
