Sorry to see you in a losing order. But if you look through the threat I too have had losing ones. No system is 100% all the time. To help keep me grounded in the 5 min I have a 1hr chart running next to 5 min to determine true trend. It will help you in the long run.

As I have stated before this system works better in longer timeframes.

Hey everyone new to this thread. From reading it I like the concept and backtesting works well but ofcourse that will with the extremes not repainting that far back. I'm not ready to put my money on this yet. I did take my first imaginary trade earlier. A buy signal on the EUR at 18:25 @.36315. Needless to say it didnt work out. My imaginary 50 Pip SL (recommended) was hit a little while ago. I know that losses are going to occur but on the first imaginary trade i make using it.. ouch! Nonetheless I will keep experimenting with this strategy I think we're on to something here. It seems the entries are anywhere from 10-50% into the total move. If there was a method to get in a little earlier, thus putting your SL further away and at the same time getting more of the potential move. Any thoughts?

WELCOME!! Sorry to hear about your order hitting stoploss. Unfortunately, can't be winner everytime but that is the importance of the second part of the system which is YOU and the practice of a Proper Money Management System so you keep losses low and profits high. (see post#1)

You are correct you don't get the perfect top or bottom of the movement the system tries to get you in the bulk of a movement so if it it shallow it can get you.

p.s. If you have a tolerance for greater level of risk you may think of raising your stoploss to 100 pips. I know alot of people that recommend 100pips to avoid price action chop but I just prefer to keep it tight and that is what I wrote in my intro.

To All..... Food For Thought

POSSIBLE MARKET REVERSAL TAKING PLACE!!!!

For you chartologiest and pattern freaks out there it seems a pattern maybe forming on the 1hour that willhelp you with your trades. This pattern as demonstrated in graph is a classic Head and Shoulders and we could be seeing the ending stages where the Neckline is broken meaning price action should be dropping.

For those of you not familiar, Head and Shoulders is a classic reversal pattern that shows a major top has formed and a reversal will now take place as Bulls in the market become exhausted as price will no longer progress and they turn into Bears. Points one would watch closely is a break of the neckline because that is the turning point and the price should move swiftly down.

This pattern also as a sister and it is called an inverted Head and Shoulder that is a bottoming reversal pattern for Bears. If you are new....you want to watch for these all the time because Head and Shoulders are a common occurance in the marketplace.

UPDATE:

Price action is touching neckline. This is possible point for a small bouce (right shoulder) or a breakthough. Becareful and watchful.

UPDATE2:
It appears the revesal is starting at 1.35215 for the right shoulder. Because this is lower than the neck shoulder connection on the left we should look for a 23.6 to 50 fib retracement. We should see a may high of 1.3600 to 1.36500 if this is a true Head and Shoulders pattern.

Thanks Evaluator glad to be here! One thing I was thinking.. maybe we could use the daily, maybe even the same indicator setup, to establish our daily bias and only take trades on that side. For me that would prevent me from doing any buying today. Any thoughts on that?

Exactly, instead of cycle indicator you can use 3 level ZZ semafor (only nr.3 on chart) and you will see that is same thing as cycle one (new highs/new lows). Maybe better solution, less on your CPU.

Like on #446, on that image you can see that sunflower high and low match exactly cycle indy, same thing.

Do you have any guidelines that you use to determine your bias in the 1 hour. I was looking and it seems maybe if you used the color of the MTEI Supertrend alone on the one hour to determine your trend bias. Just a thought

May I propose the VQ indicator to get earlier signals than sa_MTEI_SuperTrend? Even allow re-entries.
I tested for a week and seems to work fine, sorry no charts of testing.

update: the author of the thread where I found it ensures that no repaints, and I think itīs almost 98% true.

You just follow the rules on post#1 for all currency pairs and in any timeframe.

Yes. If you look in the cycle extreme window you will see a small yellow bar. I use that to mark where the extremes are and as usual the price action spike cause a repaint. Again, the whole point being a question of sensitivity because the original trendline indicator never turned red it stayed blue invalidating any extreme bar from the cycle indicator.

Here is my analysis on EURUSD immediate future. We have seen a test of the neckline of the Head and Shoulders pattern forming (see post #446) also we have had a clear 5 wave movement down since the high of 1.36895 today.

What should happen next is a 50, 61.8 or max 78.6 retracement of this movement that will set the stage for completing wave 2 (right shoulder) that will culminate with a sharp and fast drop though the neckline toward 1.32400 (ending point of wace C of ABC triangle and bottom of expanding downward trending wedge pattern) before any type of meaningful rebound.

Keep on the lookout and pay attention to SELL signals using the system.

I personally think this guy is NUTZ!

But he is based in strong technicals which are very accurate.

You can use the system to mark your better entry points.

He has a strong personality and HUGE ego but; if you can get through all the Bulls$&$§7; I think he has something worth hearing.
