Position taken - short yen futures .013082 - looking for break of lower yellow trend line.

The position I took is the same as your forex traders going long at 76.51

Hi FXMindset,
USDX related trades fine for EUR/USD
For UJ the in-out safe haven effects are too disturbing atm for using USDX, at least current level should give us an UJ above 80 if the safe haven flight was not with us.
Politicians keep making wrong choices so guess safe-haven effects won't disappear for a while which gives me the simple chart levels 76-76.30 for a possible long but PA is sticky lately......

ok...i muddled up your futures graph ... your lower low is is corresponding to higher high. funny. how well do futures correlate with "the actual future" with this pair in your experience?

Not exactly sure what you are asking me.....but as to the lower low.....the price dropped after 5:15pm new york time.....which to me made a lower price after the daily roll and into the next trading day... (please correct me if I am wrong) - I don't quite understand all the daily roll times and if it means a new trading day in forex etc........in futures - they stop trading at 5pm New York time......and at 6pm new york time they start trading again....in a new day candle.

Closed position as I am hearing rumblings coming from Italy.....watched someone pull the trap door on oil......big drop. Pulled out of market +3 pips and going to wait to hear what is going on in Italy.

I need a little analysis help with this recent Gold for Dollar swap.
By looking at past history in JPY and CHF it looks like a Central Bank is probably the culprit but I can't tell who.
Just about the same amount of Gold was sold on 9/20 & 9/21 which leads me to speculate that this was the SNB but there is no corresponding Gold for Dollar swap.
Looking at the 8/4 yentervention, I couldn't find a thumb print to link todays move to the BoJ because there was no Dollar buying
Sure, I'd love for this to be a precursor to a yentervention but I am just REALLY curious to find out what may be about to happen somewhere.

Any thoughts??

i wonder will this pair gonna make a move anytime soon,as this is frozen for the last month,last week is complete ping pong in 50 pips range :/
