Good morning from Canada. I am a relatively new trader, small micro account and just learning. Trading Education continues through books, on line and great forum posts such as this thread.

However, one thing I have discovered, for whatever reason, price candles love to bounce around the 144 EMA and 34 EMA on all time frames. Just wait for a candle to close around the 144 EMA, then with a 5 pip difference and following a Stochastic indicator, place your entry.

For examples, just look at EUR/USD right now, over the last 12 hours, on M1, M5, M15, H1, etc. It has really helped me with all entries.

So much for risk on this morning..... Stocks, oil, metals, grains, softs and risk currencies going south, DXY, Yen and Bonds heading north.

1 short stopped small loss -2%
1 short stopped BE
1 long for 2:1 +4% ... Against my better judgement but it worked.

+2% for risk capitol today... Time to sit on hands and wait for my train to arrive or at least some better S/D levels to trade.

TP 1.3410

even then reduce your lot size, then you do not need stop loss

for proof, just go to monthly charts and zoom out max, over the years or decades has euro ever broken out of the swings ?

the prices come back to the same place almost every alternate year, so why bother with a SL and feed the market.

the problem comes when we try to trade every tiny swing with a huge margin because we are experts now

1 hour support broken, 4 hour momentum peaked, time for some dips to come along the way.

technically daily is still down, but next week may be a different story

so just grab whatever comes right now, no need to bother what will happen after one hour or more.
