Thanks pipthe trade, a big help. I'll use your formula; when I enter a market order with MBTrading I cannot set a SL or TP, I have to use the "Modify Order" function after the trade is entered. I appreciate your comments as I will be going live very soon. Thanks again, p.

USD/CAD H4 Divergence, im staying out of this one but ill be watching for the 123 pattern re-entry

The tdi 'hook' has disappeared and now the trade is 100+ pips up....I should have walked away once set and just checked every hour...."sigh"..... must take screenshots of 'hooks' as I think I've seen them disappear before....

I'm almost at the end of reading all the posts on this huge thread and just came across the above post. As a 'learning' exercise I opened my weekly gold chart and noticed that the tdi displayed originally appears to have moved. Now my 'zoom' level is correct and I've checked all 'zoom' levels and none of them match what was posted...... anybody got any ideas why they're different?

15M TFs, 07:00 cdt. Sold E/$ @ 1.3512 - took 1/2 profit @ 1.3491 and moved SL 1.3510. Also sold gbp/ @ 1.5524, moving slowly but hope to take 1/2 at 1.5507.
more info - E/$ 2nd SL hit for BE+2; gbp/$ TDI started flattening so I got out - +1 pip but comm. put that trade at a very slight loss. I don't like the 15M TF all that much, takes constant watching, but the initial setups looked good and nothing on the 1H. I will see what 08:00 brings to the table.

You might have seen this book title tossed around on here before Juliant but check it out. It's completely about psychology.

Wanted : Guy to hold shotgun to my head until Stop or Limit has been reached. Was long the E/U this morning and jumped off, only to watch my +80 pip Limit get tagged three hours later. Total gain for me about +10. Read the books. Have a good system. The only missing link here is me.

EURGBP is shaping up for a very nice short on th 1H. If it continues it will also set up on the daily. Sorry I do no know how to place chart. Check it out.

Thanks for that. Backtesting is crucial and I don't do enough of it. Should do simulated trading daily off of history. You're totally correct.

What got me was the DEEP stop. Just like the Hourly EU trade that just signaled at 10 (EST) with the stop zone way out there at -80. Just don't feel comfortable when the nearest High/Low is that far away on a live trade.

I should post my losses too. Sold E/$ @ 1.3428 on the 1H, SL hit for -36. If I had used just 1 times the ATR, approx. 50 pips, I would still be in the trade but the 15M has definitely changed directions so maybe I saved myself 16 pips.

Long $/CHF stopped out

Annoyingly the TDI cross disappeared on the 1hr, and is now a bounce trade to the short side.

Double top should have made me think twice. Potential for a massive short here down to 0.895

Edit: Just realized the $ news release cane out an hour ago - that'll explain the sudden change

Going back to writing down the calender on a post-it note and sticking it on the monitor

Send him round to me next. I did exactly the same thing earlier. Then to make things worse I went short on Eur/Jpy, left the trade alone and guess what, Yup, SL hit.

Ok, so my earlier post was clearly showing a tdi cross. now my chart is showing the above, the tdi cross completely disappeared....WTF?

Anybody tell me what the heck is going on as I'm losing pips because the tdi crosses seem to disappear when I place a trade....
