I use something like that to determine a trending market, to a ranging market to a no-trade zone.

put 2 bbands on your chart.
one with 20 period with 1 deviations,
one with 20 period with 2 deviations.

use different colors, and you can see the lowest 2 bands are a selling trend, bear market, and the two upper bands are the buying trends.

whoever is using a 10 pip sl (liverpool i think) is not really what i would do.
