Looks like we're ending the week with a doji and inside candle all in one on the daily chart. I wonder which way it will go on Monday. I guess we have to wait and see on Monday.
However, any additional positive or negative news aside, this pair may still retest the 1.37 handle. Possibly a perfect place for another short.

Yeh, I was gonna ask that but I didn't wanna seem like TOO much of a n00b.
Lot's of News comments maybe?

Anyway. I think Trichets' comments at 3:30 CDT will give the EUR a shove and that direction will probably continue at the Monday open.

Yup, It came from the Japanese maybe the bank holiday set them back about a month.

As long as French and Germany banks has even 1 euro exposition is Greek debt, concerns are for down move, if Greece defaults with tons of debts in European banks, market will react heavily on down move. Don't forget that ECB buys Italian and Spanish bonds, just hold % in investors favor and keep trust in them, I think that till the end of the year euro will plunge below 1.30

saving grace could be: if greece exits then good for euro and it goes massively up ! talk of this ...

How long have you been trading? have you trade/invest in a banks,etc or just your private personal experience?

On the second part, who are they? who are we? .....IMHO is better value in trade like "them" not like "us" but maybe is just me

You are correct sir. From what I read, Germany holds 35% of their GDP in Greek debt and France something like 55%. That's what makes me nervous.

I think that next week officials will state that there is little or no progress. Right now Greece government says and promises to cut and reforms itself, but everything is good on paper, there is no action, besides drinking Uzo on beach and striking in big cites

Don't forget that German government drew quick "plan B" if Greece defaults, to bailout German banks with almost 50% of bonds, that banks hold

Ha ha. Is this "Pick on the new guy" day?
I earned my vouchers with posts in the news section.

Just to make it clear, I am not strictly a technical trader. I only use technicals to determine best entries and exits. My trades are mostly based on general market sentiment and I trade mostly on H4 and higher charts on an interday and interweek basis. Intraday trading is not for me. It seems I suck at it. That's why I keep my ear to the news. This strategy has worked very well for me for many years.

I do look forward to participating more in this forum and I hope that I would be considered a welcome addition.

Things right now is - who will get worse news US or EU

After debt ceiling US has tolerance till 2014
EU is on the edge of debt defaulting countries - which means that Trichet will drop tons of euro from the helicopters to Italy and Spain and so on. And here ECB will print more money than FED and eventually will inflate and bring down euro towards 1
