I had 15 trades using the M15. With more winners that losers.
I'm using Star178's M15 set file and version 15 of Seller9's EA.

You will find attached to this post a copy of my detailed statement of the trades along with the screen shots.

I looked at your results, and if you have had a small analizing, you could see that the first 3 loosing trades were on 0.01 lot, so if they were of 0.1 lot (as the others trades) you were at a loosing total result....

but in such a case wouldn't it be better to set UseDynamicTDIcrossClose to false? you wouldn't have been stopped out on the small pullback.

Using Star178 templates on M15 FXDD demo. Results are bad. Even when Star178 has the "wrong" settings, his trades seem to go very nicely. During the same time, all I am seeing on my FXDD demo is losers or trades that were not entered.

I suspect the problem is the demo itself. After all, what is this with not being able to set a SL closer than 40 pips? That is ridiculous.

Anyway, I use ATC as my live broker, so I am switching to ATC demo to do more testing.

I hope this encourages someone out there who is not seeing results anything like as good as Star178's - it could just be that your broker's demo is [email protected]!

  1. Click My Computer
  2. Local C
  3. Program Files
  4. Look now MetaTrade 4 (forever is your MetaTrade provider)
  5. click 2 times fast
  6. Now you supposed be see Crogram FilesMetatrade 4 – Picture 1
  7. Click templates and when templates folder is open, Copy template:" italia+columbia.tpl
    in.
  8. Click Expert folder and Copy - MACD Sample, MACD Sample. Ex4, MOVING Average,
    Moving Average.ex4, mqlcache, TMS_V13_MTF.ex4 in.
  9. Now look picture 2 and copy in presets folder - "V13A 4 Hour Chris Crobbin".

Now I may be reverting back to V-13

Here i did a Set File for V15 based on "Chris Crobbins" Set File of v13, the only settings thats different or that should be changed depending on your risk management is the Lot Size i set it to "0.10" and the CriminalECN "true" or "false" depending on your broker.

i was only testing the 15m / 1H with "Stars" settings, i was'nt testing the 4H setups but i'll set this up on 2-3 pairs now.

These will probably be the last changes in this version line.
I am working on a new version that gets back to the basics of TMS without some of these add ons that don't apply to the original idea.

1) Instead of the now 2 option trend choice it would use just the trend determined by the trend of the Synergy_APB candles of the time frame of your choice. You would still be able to turn this trend confirmation on or off if you wanted to go against the trend.
2) Also an option to trade just on the Open of the second Blue or Red candle with a time Window. So if you chose to trade only at the open of the 2nd candle you could select how large you want that opportunity window to be, say 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 hour, etc. Of course it couldn't exceed the total time of the 2nd candle.
3) Possibly add candle one size requirement in comparison to the ATR. So if candle body is to small or too large no trade can take place. Looking through the charts this one seems to be 50/50, no real stand out decission on this one.
4) I am presently testing setting the TP to zero and let the trade run. I am comparing the present TDIclose on cross to a 5LWM shift zero cross of the present 5ema shift 2 cross to see if one is any better than the other. Any ideas on something to use for this type of trade so we can get all the pips the trade will give us? So far I have tested the ma cross against just a TP multiplyer of 150 and SL multiplier of 200 and the ma won hands down. It has less winners but the winners are bigger and the losers are smaller. Or does everyone think its just better to use a large stop loss and eventually you will get a winner?

So looking for input from experience you have gained with the present versions and what we don't need.
No money managment ideas at this time untill we get the basic TMA EA perfected.

as i stated before your ideas are excellent also since i had similar ideas in one of my prior post they would be very good additions IMO especially #1 and # 4


-Simple addition would be a "Price cross 5ema = close position" (the 5ema must be with the shift "2" settings not a sma or ema with no shift) you already have the "OPEN TRADE" and the "5emaSL" coded in the EA just missing the CLOSE TRADE part


-or by adding a Synergy "Heiken Ashi Change Entry/Exits" trades ? ex: HA Blue Candle now becomes a Big Red Candle with a confirmed closed = close position or as you mentionned another Trend Watcher? (vice/versa)

You are correct in your analysis of the report. 3 trades where set to 0.01 lots, instead of 0.10, which would have been a losing day of trading at the M15.

Below you will see charts for 09-21-2011 and 09-22-2011. I've attached my set file along with the detailed report. Also within the Detailed Report I had two trades that were at 0.01 lots, one was profitable one was a loss.

There were 9 trades but I was only able to locate 8 images.

I apologize if this data is a little out of date by a couple of days. I'm unable to post as much as I would like.

Robot will do excacly, what you settings are in your Inputs. Robot don't have feelings. He will take trade excacly that time, when by settings TIME are right time. Look picture.
