I've never used it, and in the beginning of the thread, neither did Sonic.

Neither does Sam Seiden if I recall correctly, though I May be mistaken on that score.

Volume is not a necessary piece of information. I understand that many find it vital to their decision tree. But it is wrong for you to assume that one can only trade PA successfully if one uses volume as an indicator.

All you really need is a chart ... Let me guess ... I would bet that there was relatively high volume on the low bar and the bar immediately preceding it.

I think, TAH, that you will find an affinity with the Sam Seiden way of learning this aspect of price action.

Do not try to learn it fast. This is not a race. I remember watching one of his webinars about a hundred times over a month or two period of time.

I think here you may be keeping your understanding, and substituting some of SS's words and even a few of DD's words for the words you are used to using. I recommend you use SS's words instead of mine. You do not want to miss out on the meat and potato's that Seiden serves up by focusing on the fancy piece of parsley I threw on the side of the plate.

What you need to do, TAH, is substitute Seiden's understanding of these concepts for your understanding. It is not enough to simply substitute your words for his words, you must come to see price action as he sees it.

I said this once before, TAH: The reason you have a problem fixing a stop loss is because you do not trust support and resistance and wave analysis. You do not trust S/R and Waves because you do not really understand it in a way that allows you to use it to control your trading.

Watch those webinars, and assume you know nothing. Try to watch them as though you are completely new to trading. Do not jump to conclusions. If you find yourself not agreeing with something he says, you must pause the webinar and replay it until you do agree with him. He is 100% right as he is covering very basic fundamental characteristics of price action. If he says something that you do not agree with, you must assume that it is you who are mistaken, and not him.

SC entries were around the whole, quarter, half and three quarters numbers (1.3710, 1.3728, 1.3746 and 1.370) as price rose thru the 1.3700 to 1.3800 price region. After the half number entry (1.3746) I allowed myself one more at the three quarter level, 1.3770 it turned out to be as price spent quite some time in that area before the last dash up to fill the gap.

I could not get a handle on seeing/picking a resistance/supply level/area where the price should stop. PA just kept pausing, and then rising further. So I ended up making more than just one entry. That was not so bothersome, as in the past I have frequently made even more entries into a trade under such circumstances. What bothered me was that price was not responding to resistance/supply areas the way the Seiden webinars let me to believe it should. I was back in the "old game" of trying to pick a top, which I don't like. If my short entries were not with the overall down trend, I would not have made multiple entries like this. I thought I was thru with all that.

The bottom line is that because the overall trend is down, I choose to not make any EU long trade, and stuck with short entries. And this strategy is serving me well. At the 1.3600 level, just below TP1, EP2 was up about 125 pips, EP2 was up about 143 pips, and EP4 was up about 168 pips. All are up even more now, as the price has resumed dropping.

The SL has been reinstated, and now guarantees at least 265 pips more, as this free trade continues to run. I shall later evaluate if TP3 or TP4 should be relocated lower.

Part of the difficulty I had in the Tuesday session was that I was trying to apply S. Seiden's Supply & Demand strategy while not yet well enough versed in it's specific details. Had it not been for that, after my initial EU short trade earlier, I would have simply not traded at all until suitable downward PA warranted it. Fortunately, I am trading with the trend.

Yes ddaytrader, that is what I need to do; re-read again and again what of his written material is available, and watch again and again what of his webinars are avaliable on this subject. Tuesday I embarked on using his SD strategy information with confidence, and ended up feeling like a baby in the woods! Or maybe it was more like my very first ride on a bicycle, which quickly introduced me to gravity and the ground!

The big move wasn't predictable but it obeyed serious s/r rule..
If any of Sonikers had long,, his trade will not be a losing trade either,, as the price advance till the gap closed near 1.378x..

So that trade must have been tp1 hit with close at BE trade..

Bravo, for those shorted as well.

This is my "pressure release" trade. It is a simple SonicR long setup, but in asian session and on the M5 TF chart. It has nice L-H-HL PA wave, Dragon is angling up, and at EP the price will be above the Dragon. The single TP is at the quarter number area, also the FR 62% retrace area, also a previous support area that failed early in the previous run down.

This is a small trade, for small pips and so no worries.

That trade was a loser ... but a small one. It was SonicScout-like.

I think Sonic perhaps should define SonicScout as he would like it defined. To me, a SonicScout is an entry at an S/R level. Sonic would presumably add a "stopping volume" requirement.

Nope this is how I see it atm. There is bearish pattern in place, strong downtrend, going long is too risky.
