Thanks for your reply, that's put my mind at rest somewhat.
As you appear to know about Watchdog, can I ask about the 'refresh' issue.
I've read on various earlier posts that changing 'RefreshLastBar' from the default 'false' to 'true' is advantageous but I don't understand why....
Any opinion on this would be appreciated as I don't want to change anything that may give me 'dodgy' signals.

Entered at around 8:30 pm PDT
ATR was running @54pips, SL@2XATR = 100pips, with TP1@100pips and TP2@200pips
TP1 hit, SL moved up to around 25 pips protected and TP2 still running
Currently debating whether to exit on a further pullback and save some pips or to sit and leave it alone and see if it hits TP2
With all that said, another great week - only 2 entries taken and with the closed positions:
eur aud long +87 TP1 hit
eur aud long +113 TS - TP2 not hit
eur aud short +92 TP1 hit
eur aud short - position still open +25 protected and currently +113
There has been an adjustment to the trading plan to reduce the number of trades / over trading. Less pending trades set up and only taking the A1 set ups.
There have been some very interesting posts this week such as "relunctantly entered", or "entered because the TDI crossed and not sure"
Keep with the system - look at higher time frames - watch the price action before you enter - it must confirm the TDI move, and if all else fails go read all of dcginc's and big E's posts again.
There seems to be lots of discussion on 1st / 2nd / 3rd candles - my approach is to look for a colour change on the APB on H4 - verify TDI cross/bounce + stochastics, and then look to see the higher time frame patterns and price action. If this does not all coincide with the 1st or 2nd candle then I am not interested. Once PA is confirmed and with the trends you have an entry so long as the set up agrees with your trading plan / risk management.

I don't mean to be rude but please do not start discussing the use of other indicators in this thread. This will disrupt the entire system especially for newbies.
I know that we don't hear from Big E but he told us specifically not to discuss or post other indicators on this thread. If we start doing this then the system won't be a simple system anymore and will take this thread far from the original idea.Which will make people blame the system.
If you feel other indicators fits your trading personality then please discuss this in the trading tech forum or open yourself a thread on your system.
People tend to forget what was discussed in the first few pages of this thread thats why we should always go back and recap now and then.
The original indicators that should be used for this system was posted on the first page.
NB: A person should trade a system at least 300 times and have over 60% to determine if its successful. The key to becoming a good trader is Sticking to a STRICT trade plan, if it don't meet your trade plan then don't take the trade and REPETITION , REPETITION and yet more REPETITION.
Keep your trading environment clean and simple, do not place unnecessary indicators , if its there and you not using it get it off your screen. You don't need indicators to make you feel safe. Unnecessary indicators cause us to freeze when a perfect set up comes our way then we use the words 'If only' with regret.
In the past three weeks I took 22 trades I lost 2 trades broke even in 1 and won 19 trades by sticking to BIG E's method strictly.
This is trading made simple guys you can conquer the market if you want to , its within you.
As BIG E said get yourself a wheelbarrow to load your cash when you go to the bank.

I'm attaching a spreadsheet that I came across, I use it to keep within my limits per month and set goals to reach so I don't over trade for the month.
You can change the profit percentage to something lower that suits your risk level.
This will provide motivation for the potential you can realize.

I have attached the one of the spreadsheets I use.
You of course will have to remove my data and input your own.

That is why it needs to be modified so that if the "Refresh_last_bar" is false, it will calculate using the "open price" for the last candle, as this is constant, and there is nothing to "remember".
