Look at the difference in Jpy related pairs. Jpy is depreciating towards Chf/Eur/Aud/Gbp with Usd lagging hugely.

More downside when Philly numbers come in ?
Disappointing US numbers calls for further QE, hence Jpy strenghtening towards the Usd. Certainly no need for intervention when Jpy depreciates towards Eur. Export to Euro zone vs US is approx 70-30

Major pairs towards highs of day against Jpy, Usd towards lows. In general Usd is selling off towards Eur/Aud/Cad/Nzd/Chf.

I have a short position on the euro since 1.4350. I expect it to continue to drop to under 120 before the end of the year.

There will not be a QE3. It is politically unacceptable in an election year. I´ve lived in the US for 33 years. I tell you, there will not be additional Treasury buying until after the election.

Plus, even if it closes there that would be a Doji which would mean a reversal from the downtrend.

Things are looking much better for this pair now. RSI, Trix, Channel, have held and we should be on our bumpy way to 78, with a distict possibility of breaking the top wall when we get there.

Still don't believe in a Usd/Jpy reversal, not from a technical perspective nor from a fundamental one.

Imo, US numbers will remain below consensus for some time to come. Chances of intervention will greatly decrease if the Jpy manages to decrease against the Euro and yes I do expect FED announcing further QE despite republican opposition and upcoming elections. Problems are way too big and threathening for them not to act. Waiting till after elections seems no valid option.

"Candlewise", no reversal in sight for the time being.

Just my 2cents !
