Well I have different strategy - picking up tops and bottoms - put them on sl +1 and scalp in between. If market goes for example up - I leave my buy position opened and am looking for daily top. When I find it I put sl at be +1 and then scalp in between those two positions. And vice versa. This way I have both short and long term positions covered..:

I used to do that. I found it to be less hectic by sticking with one position. Its good to maximize profits but remember friend, more reward = more risk.

Manage them both well

same drill. one pip shy of the last entry. sl at be and scaled. trying to get a runner. These numbers play over and over again until they dont.

Thanx Bumpartia - I know what you mean with more risk - more reward. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with short term scalps

They are called margin calls btw. And if you pick them up with small lots - margin calls won't happen.
