hi folks,

monthly preview EURUSD is mixed with a short signal towards 1.2364 as a first target, stops right above 1.4940 and long signal still in play as long as we are above 1.2873... its gonna be a real tough battle... all depends on the upcoming monthly candles... i expect consolidation above the 1.2873 level and signs of divergence for the shorts or the longs before any further move... if i had the yearly chart probably it will give a hint of who will win

weekly preview is heading towards 1.2930 as a first target, everything is possible depending on the closing of the upcoming weekly candles, same stop at 1.4940

daily preview, we are hanging on the 2nd target line of the last most significant daily trend and signal... might go anywhere from here with stops at 1.4148...

so overall its going to be mixed for a while for this pair and i dont think its the right time to trade it because we might go anywhere

just my opinion

Depends on your stategy....
Sometimes i average it as well, but it's just to build a full position...
When i think my position is not that good i take a small one, then another one lower (or higher)

But i agree that if you do add bigger lots when the trade goes against you it's the beginning of the end...

Kind of loading I do I enter a small trade with a trailing SL, when the SL is proffitable, add another small trade - keep on loading as appropriate for your account and the range. The risk is maintained at the SL for a single (small) trade rather than the total position size.

This to my mind is the safe way to load up a heavy position - single large trades are doomsday for you account.

Thanks Kuroro. I understand your strategy. I know you're only trying to build a position to average out at near BE if possible when you discover you're wrong. But in his own case, he placed 5 trades between 3565 & 3615 (50pips) against the main trend. It's good the markets are less volatile. But all the same, what can we say, as long as his strategy makes him money while being a potential bomb, who am I to question it?

its nothing unusual. Its a pullback. This might be caused from the COT report. If you were here couple of pages back, you would've seen that commercial longs increased in a hefty amount.

1,3572 is still alive.
I've cleared the other one from 1,3580 and a few others inside 1,359x.

1,3670 is done...1,3710 is next unless it idles here waiting for the asian dudes

EDIT : looking at 1,3710 for now (1,3712-21 more precisely which is the hourly close (5pm fr time) and hourly high (8pm fr time) from friday ) because if we break this area next step is 1,3790...and its too high for me for now

Closed my original longs on the top of the A wave (assuming its an ABC), started a fresh position at bottom of C (twice - stop out for a small gain the first time!).

Update on the China/Italy meetings that seemed to have been the catalyst for the late rally today:

Later comments on the China story intimate that the talks were not focused on debt but strategic investments in Italian companies in the privatization program but the market does not appear to be picking up on this (Bloomberg News quoting "Italian official") How EUR/USD trades in Asia could well hinge on the "details" of this story, so far only the headline is appearing in internet engine searches.
