Seriously, you really need to re-consider why you are even trading a 4 Hour chart method and exiting for 1 pip, really, it is a wonder they don't just laugh you right out of this thread, check out these trades / real pips!

I must agree. There were some fantastic signals on every TMS time frame for the EUR/USD - including the Daily chart on 8/31 after a previous Doji close. The next day a cross down of the 50 and MBL - confirmation of downward pressure and straight south. That is a great trade you illustrated on your chart. Nicely done. I was fortunate to catch some of that on the EUR/JPY as well as the EUR/USD.

it's like a good old English boozer on here at weekend, once those markets closes it all kicks off. Roll on monday and let the money roll in. I just thank all for the good advice and posts as my account has done fantastic the last 6 months due to this place

I'll be posting my own trades up end of next month as my current IT contact comes to an end so will get stuck in to the 1HR chart each day. ( I only trade 4 hr at the mo and take around 2 trades per week eurusd)

End of the day if Somone wants to spend £3000 on a forex course that's upto them, I lost far more than that learning how to trade before making a profit, either way most people will pay for there 4X education in some way.

I feel you on that. I started a live $1500 a month ago (after some demo trading) and proceeded to blow through $500 the subsequent week. I've since deposited $250 more and then I found this system last week. I'm actually he closest to profitable than I've ever been. The only reason I'm at $80 loss right now is because I screwed up when the market plunged last week. It's an awesome system,

I was also included in the PM dg sent inviting traders to look at a website. To be honest....I also enjoy and learn from DG's posts and I respect what he has to say about his trades and trading in general. However this email did seem a lot like an advertisement. Compounded by the fact that when you sign up for the free webinar a video initiates informing of the prizes you can win by signing as many people up as you can.
Unfortunatley I have found that 95% of people in this game are full of shit and would try to sell you there own mother. This causes myself and most others to be paranoid about anything that seems like a sales pitch...which this did.
DG maybe you should post the email in its entirety so everyone can judge for themselves. It certainly made me suspicious once I looked on the website....I have been there before......I am sure most with a couple of years experience have been directed to those websites an paid for the courses.....I dont find this one any different. These websites and "pro trader" training camps etc are a dime a dozen......
So before you all go jumping down vegas' throat.....I would like to see your interpretation of the email.
TO be honest it confuses me....maybe it WAS a genuine offer to help others out.....but why....we can all find those websites easily enough by ourselves if we want or need to......why write a full page email explaining it all and that you gain nothing from it.....this email was written in the style of an advertisement....I have morals and respect the fact that I was PM'ed so I wont post it.....but honestly.....those who received it have the right to be suspicious.....it reads to me like any other marketing email would trying to coax you to a trading training website.........honestly my first impression when I read the email was.....here we go again.......seen this before .................post it so everybody can see it and judge for themselves.
PS: I am not trying to attack dc's character....as I said...it confuses me....and I do believe the posts he has put up here have been genuine and helpful........but we are all just people who have been communicating on a free forum.....dont be stupid enough to trust anyone or believe anyone blindly.....this shit can destroy families, finances and lives...........and dont be naive enough to ask others to trust you blindly by the same token.....forex trading is mostly full of sinister characters who would bend you over at any chance they had.....this breeds the paranoia and righlty so.
Again...maybe it was a genuine offer of help...but it sure reads like an ad.

Hi, I new in this awesome thread. I already read about 100 post. Please explain me if when you refer to 1 or 2 candle do you want to say the first candles of the day or what?

What is referenced by the 1st or 2nd candle is referring to the change in market direction. This is put into relation with the TDI (red/green) cross, up or down, depending on the markets move.
This is not restricted to the beginning of the trading day. It is applied to the market movement on all TF's per Eric's rules.

I was just curious, I know we're meant to keep this system simple, but i've been seeing quite of the few of the traders adding new indicators and new additions to the system. I've been tempted to add a few but have stuck to my guns and followed Big E's original system. I know one of the key elements of this system is to trade with the trend. Would anybody be able to comment as to whether or not looking at higher TF's to confirm the H4 cross is aiding in minimizing fake outs. I know that there's always going to be some losing trades in every system, but I was just wondering if anybody could comment on this.

I am not sure why I am telling you this but whatever system you are using was a bit late say around 300 pips to trigger the trade.

So you think indicators are "superfluous", you are a "professional trader", and yet you use this system? Good for you.

No one impressed with my systems? I suggest you read the previous post by dgcinc on my results; he seems to have more cred than you.

As for the comment "pollute it with complete crap" you could say that about all the traders saying about how they got 1 pip, 20 pips or some other insignificant amount, while following a 4 Hour method; now that is thread pollution, just go back and see how many of those there are.

Not too many showing 100's of pips trades which is what I would expect from a longer term time frame.

Even the great E promised to post post big results about a month ago and failed to follow up on that, but I guess we all forgive him on that.... want me to dig up that post?

OK, I have been accused of not helping out with the TMS system, and that may or may not be true, so here is my contribution in an area which surely must perplex all new traders - MONEY MANAGEMENT aka RISK MANAGEMENT aka POSITION SIZING

As in this question from http://www.forexfactory.com/cdt shows, many new traders use a fixed position size and then work out how big a stop they need, if indeed they do place a stop, as I sure more than few wished they did last week when the SNB made that announcement; hard lesson to learn, always place a stop when you make the trade, anyway move on.

I will post a series of pictures for this tutorial, which will attempt to teach that you need to determine the ENTRY & STOP LOSS first and calculate the POSITION SIZE from that, here we go...

OK, so our method says to go long on the break of the last high, and place the stop loss at the last swing low, see chart, calculate the pip difference, 4 hour chart so no stress to hurry here

Now using a position sizing calculator, there are many available, try Google or your broker help page, input the correct details and place the trade as a PENDING ORDER, easy as, no stress

EDIT : OK, the thing to learn here is, your POSITION SIZE is known before placing the trade, this is because the ENTRY, the STOP LOSS and the RISK % are known, each trade will have a different POSITION SIZE, but your RISK will ALWAYS remain the same = think about it.

My main criticism of TMS is that the method is VAGUE, the use of HA candle is not precise (just watch a candle form on the new hour sometime when price is at a low or high, it back fills and give an illusion) 1st candle or 2nd candle, very vague, where to place stop, of course you can work these out in your own trading plan, but as discussing it here ion the thread, as you can see, very difficult as no 2 traders will agree.

Now the trade plan is set in motion, how to protect capital once it triggers? where to take profits?

The Fibo tool in MT4 can easily be set up to show Profit 1 & Profit 2, when to move Stop Loss to Break Even, what ever your TRADE PLAN calls for, you do have a trade plan, don't you?
