Yeah, I was short on the chf's in good profit. Woke up in US to all my stops hit. The good news is my stops were in profit but I still lost 900 pips of gain.
Oh well...I guess you just can't account for this kind of movement. Sure makes you wonder if you shouldn't have a safety net stop out there even if you plan on using recovery.
I have reduced my lot sizes almost in half. Gonna try to keep any DD to less than 10%. I have a feeling it is going to be one exciting fall. Right now the key is to have a good mix of various currencies so as not to get caught if one currency runs. I wouldnt be too dismayed from the CHF run, usually these things will retrace quickly, not all the way, but more than enough to counter trade out of trouble. The Swiss are fighting for economic survival and the bank is going to do everything it can to keep the price of the CHF down. Anyway I am cutting my risk. Wish I had solid advice to give other than to be wary. It feels good to be on the winning side of a trade though on a big move. Usually it is the other way around.

There is no way to predict that kind of intervention in the market like that. Even Full Time traders got caught with their pants down. Obviously govt arent going to warn you in advance they are going to do something like that. Small lot sizes saved my neck and has kept my DD in a respectable range. Even if all the trades had gone against me I would still be in decent shape. Just for the heck of it I looked at my DD if the trades had gone against me and my DD would have still been less than 15%. So now you know why I preach it so much low lot size to account size. Just think of all the guys that got their clock cleaned by trading too big again.

Anyway my total pips yesterday was +1404 my biggest day ever. My DD is less than 10% and I have closed and turned off most of my trades except for the less volatile currencies and reduced my lot sizes.

Caught L2 on the USD and GBP, but it missed the AUD for some reason. After it was all said and done, +2,800 Pips at the end of the day. Probably won't see that again or at least for a very long time.

Fundamentally, when the Swiss Bank started make noise about the current valuation of the CHF and their commitment to de-value it, I did not even think about trading long the CHF. The JPY and EUR you have to be careful with, but the SNB brings a big stick. Time to have a few cold beverages!!

What killed me yesterday is I had too many 100-200 TP on my accounts. LOL I always like doing that just in case I am lucky and catch a spike, well I got my 1-200 pip profits instead of 1000. The one gbp/chf didnt have a TP so I got that one. The only reason I had the gbp /chf is because I was doing gbp trades. But that is the first time I have seen anything like that since Oct. 2008.

Dang what happens if the Euro starts to go crazy then what? What happens if Greece drops out, then we face Ireland's deficit? What happens if they drop, we go to Spain? Portugal? Italy? If they all devalue their currencies what happens then to the Euro? It appreciates because the debt has left? It depreciates because now the banks loans are even shakier? It depreciates because the Euro is breaking up? It appreciates because now it is really all Germany? Heck if I know. I am going to continue to play Euro will short, hope I am right.
zzzzzzzzzzz dud day after yesterday. My recovery system is now in high gear, Mr. Steve. For tonight we went to a Zhuang Restaurant and had a sensational meal. We opened with freshly cut and cooked asparagus, black rice and sesame cakes, fresh vegetable vinaigrette salad with special Zhuang spice, deep fried grubs served on crunchy rice noodles, deep fried bacon with sticky rice balls, something in which I recognized nothing in the dish but it was good, cooked egg white mixed with lily bulbs, an unknown Zhuang tea, crunchy peanuts rolled in sesame seeds, Oily popped rice soup mixed with peanuts and a vegetable. Anyway one more night out with the new teachers and then back to work. How you like them apples and yes I did say deep fried grubs, you know those white worm looking things, light brown when cooked in oil and spiced with a hot chili pepper. MMMMMMMMMMMM now you know where I get my trading method ideas from. LOL

It is why I didnt post the trades ahead of time. I looked at the gbp and decided I would set two of them up as buys and two of them up as sells. If price dropped 2 pairs sells would enter and if price jumped up two pairs would do buys. I got lucky today. There was no science behind it just decided to do it.

Personally I plan to donate to Bob's charity and other charities when I withdraw money from my trading account. But hey, if Bob ever makes it to the Netherlands then food and drinks are on me, obviously.
Dang I need to plan a trip to Europe. If the Euro sinks more maybe I can afford it. Lets see Netherlands, France, Britain to see Steve, anyone else?? I am sure there are some Germans out there. That is my back ground, mostly German, little Irish, tad a French and Norwegian.

Well said my friend. I agree with you totally. Thoroughly recommend giving to charity to anyone who has not done so thus far. Speaking from personal experience, I started supporting few charities in a systematic way around 5 years ago and have reaped the rewards ever since. Only wished I had done it sooner. We are all at the mercy of the lottery of our birth and supporting our fellow beings who are less fortunate than us is what makes us true human beings.

Your system is sheer genius in its elegance and simplicity to solve the eternal range vs trend dilemma ensuring were on the right side! Thank you for sharing.
From a newbie perspective, Ive found it helps to make notes. End result is a reference list of all items in the system package and a table of charts, indicators and settings.
In that process I noticed that the EA- 4H CTR BOTH B uses PRICE_OPEN in the 3 LWMA, instead of Median as mentioned in the Trading System booklets.
It might not have major impact on trades, but may explain why sometimes the chart will not match the EA entries.
Hope it helps iron out bugs in the system

That was an error in the booklet. The EA is suppose to be on open. I think the live charts have it right also but is an oversight mistake in the booklet. Thank you for sharing.

you can find it in zip file ( 10.0#2.zip ) unzip it then there is folder name (10.0 #2 ) open it then you will find 5 folders inside, one of them name (trading booklest #2 ).

first time to me with the booklet, I am newbie with the system .

One addition to the preceding post. The "A" folder is not labeled "A" rather it just says 10.0. If you didn't know that you might spend a lot of time looking for it.

I think he is talking about his line:

5.READ THE TRADING BOOKLETS LETTER A-E (6)

The booklets are labeled 10.0A 10.0B etc. not just A B C. Sorry for the confusion. Booklets 10.0A-B are in #1 and 10.0C-E are found in #2 trading booklets #2. I hope this helps clear that up.
