stop-loss is set to 77.76 ..if it decides to go thru 70 then it got little bit more space to move.

question is/was at what price your stop is executed when next price is 85 and it stays there.......

Went long at the new 4hr bar, close above 72 signals long to me. Wide SL (small lots )

Having only seen one of these before (on another pair), at around 78.5 or so it has no where to go but up ... violently.

too bold, bugger trade, but he, USDX pierces through all my resistances, with UJ lagging so far behind chances of acceleration are great!

ps, rumours Greece will default today/weekend, don't know how this would correlate with UJ though....

i do not know why ,but i ALWAYS can not open FF site tonight.damn, so i can not post my idea in time .this is my short of UJ,just because of the dojis on h1 chart .and i am lucky .

Germany has proposed a plan in place in case Greece defaults. They apparently want to shield banks. Should this event occur people will seek safe havens in order to protect capital.

Question is which safe havens are left. The Euro has huge debt problems, the Swiss central bank is very motivated and willing to take action in order to prevent the Chf from appreciating. So whats left on the table ? In my opinion the Jpy is still being considered as being a safe haven, Eur is heading towards all time lows as we speak, the Gbp is just close to its all time lows against the Jpy as well. As for the Usd, we see again that it failed to hold the 77.50 level for the third time in a months time, which could send it back to the low end of the channel.

The fact that the Japanese have threatened to take bold action should their currency appreciate more is, as the strenght in the Jpy clearly shows, not taken too seriously. In my opinion they have lost a considerable amount of credibility as they have been waiting far to long to take bold action. In this respect they have lost the game against another former safe haven, the Swiss.

The latest rumors talk about the Japanese seeking support for a coordinated intervention at the g7 summit this weekend. However, given todays huge worldwide uncertainty and problems, it seems hard to believe that they will be succesfull.

Therefore, given all of the above, I expect the Jpy to strenghten even more. Not only against the Euro, Chf and Gbp but also against the Usd.

In a nutshell, both the Japanese ministry of finance and the bank of Japan did too little too late.

as far as I can see this is euro-panic around Greece.
The acceleration of USD within UJ is fighting with flight to safety (USD and YEN)
USD moves were dominant now flight to safety gets his turn.
Ah well it remains an interesting pair....
