I am still stocks bullish and in my view we will see 1400 SnP soon. Cheap money is still around and will be around till mid 2013 atleast. Let's see what gold does near last weeks top i.e 1900.

I noticed when we have PA that gives us an entry around .80 - .90, the chances of sucess are higher than PA with entry around .30 - .40. I don't know may be I will add that to the rules.

All chf pairs have seen some crazy movements since the last 2 month2 and since the past 4 weeks,all the down move on Gbpchf,audchf,eurchf and nzdchf have been reversed.Now this week has shown sellers coming in again,personally i feel the down move is about to resume again provided the high of the monthly hammer like candles on all of the 4 pairs is not broken. That said, i took a quick short on both eurchf and gbpchf this morning,went short on eurchf at 1.12919 and closed it at 1.11226, i also went short on gbpchf at 1.28259 and closed at 1.26549,both trades ended up in 200 pips plus,what a wonderful way to start the new month, i closed both trades considering the non farm payroll news coming out later today. All i 'll do now is wait for the close of this week and wait for PASR to tell me if the downtrend will still continue on all of the chf pairs. My connection is playing up this morning so i cant upload charts. Positive pips to you all in this new month.

Out of all chf rejection candles, only chfjpy could be of iterest IMO,
regarding CT trades that is.

Boom! The signs were there on the weekly and daily chart. But I didn't play as I wanted the new trend to be confirmed first. If this is a trend change there will be ample opportunity to hop on the train north!

The Press release was interesting. eurchf 1.20 is the line in the sand then. The SNB seemed quite strong in their statement as to the actions they will take to continue to weaken the Chf.
Trade less and become more profitable!

I will hold on to last position to see if price can cut through this section and go for 1.3000 level.

Hi Strat,

I would like your advise on my positioning on audnzd for Boss trend continuation. When you are building your positions and they are well in profit, you leave your SL where they are or move to BE. I know you have mentioned that you would get out if PA reverses on Worker. Thanks.

But the Boss isn’t confirming a trend change – yet.

When you are building your positions and they are well in profit, you leave your SL where they are or move to BE.

You have to be able to separate trend trading from position trading. As yet, the trend isn’t established so you have to decide what your risk tolerance is to wait for a trend. It also depends on your account size and how desperate you are to make short term profits.

Don’t forget that if you get out too early with profits and the trend establishes itself or continues, you can always get back in.

If you leave your SL below your entry in anticipation of a large pull back, then you run the risk of a loss if price goes below the last swing low.

First and foremost, protect profit as if swing trading. If you have the risk tolerance, you can move both your SLs to the BE of your first position so that you have a free trade and one with a small loss.

Just make sure you have your SL in place to protect you from wild moves.

Finally, remember, we are only interested in taking the meat of the trend, the 75% to 80% of the trend. We are not interested in the 25% to 20% at the beginning and end.

GBPCHF, EURCHF and USDCHF are current examples of pairs which were trend traded.AUDNZD is nothing like these......................yet.

Thanks Strat for your response. Practicing and be able to see 25% to 20% at the beginining and end so that we can anticipate the 75% to 80% of the trend.

Could someone be so kind as to give me a few terminology lessons:

Does Swing Trading refer to Worker or Boss Swings/ moves?
Is "position trading" part of "swing trading" which by itself is part of "trend trading? Or is it a seperate thing?

Maybe i need to go back to re-reading the thread (hmm..)

I think you will find as many definitions for these as there are traders!

Many times swing trading and position trading are classed as the same however, and as usual, I have different views.

In my trading and teachings, swing trading, whatever the time frame, is trading from swing low to swing high and swing high to swing low.

My position trading is when I "position" myself for a set number of pips in a trade - it could be a quick triple pips at ADR(5) or at 1st SR or holding on to a position until reverse PASR for quadruple pips.

This is why it is important for each trader to understand and know HIS trading style.
