Now we seem to be having a buy signal setting up. This might be a relatively safe trade as the SNB says it will defend 1.2000 against the euro vigorously

Does anyone have some stats for how they've done with this system? it's been running quite a while someone must be able to post a record of how they've done.

I've looked back at 4 pairs since the beginning of 2010 - these were with a sl of 170 and tp of 170 - 1 lot traded, BE at +100, no other crieria, only exit via sl or tp. Just out of interest:

gbpusd - 43 trades, 21 win, 18 loss, 4 break even = +3 (510 pips)
eurusd - 35 trades, 17 win, 9 loss, 9 break even = +8 (1360 pips)
eurgbp - 30 trades, 14 win, 12 loss, 4 break even = +2 (340 pips)
usdjpy - 35 trades, 25 win, 9 loss, 1 break even = +16 (2720 pips)

Total - 143 trades, 77 win, 48 loss, 18 break even = +29 (4930 pips)

So, that's 53% win and return of 20% on investment

The move to break even safeguard makes all the difference.

...right here...

but I am not touching this pair, since this is not normal situation on the market, the price may retrace a big way down. Not even government intervention can hold on to the Forex market if all the money wants to go short...

I personally will stay away and watch this pair for a day or two...

I don't see your results in the first post??

have you kept a record of all your trades?

btw..with my results if you'd set take profit to 340 pips 1:2 r/r

143 trades, 52 wins, 48 loss, 43 break even = +56 (9520 pips)

That's 36% win and return of 39% on investment (who needs a high win %)

yet only 3 of 4 pairs show a profit using this MM, I've just looked at aususd and that shows +2 1:1 r/r and -2 1:2 r/r

I think the results show that because this system makes it's profit on trends then you have to let the profits run. In choppy, sideways markets you can get a string of losses, it's just a matter of accepting them.

Slurp, I found your post, I didn't know you meant from the original thread, I found it in the bin ta.

Just a thought and it seems to be working for me.
Why not only take entries on pairs that are strongly trending on the weekly chart and then only in the direction of the trend

Hi Slurpee,
I am using a differant entry than you but the main thing is using the weekly trend
Results so far in pips
gbp/jpy +107
nzd/usd +39
usd/chf +131
gbp/jpy - 18
The method I am using is not relevant the big thing is using the weekly trend add that to your method and I am sure you will filter out some of the losses
