Okay, this must be the reason why people use EA's...

I wake up, put my screen on, and go like "F*CK WHY COULDN'T I HAVE WOKEN UP 2 HOURS EARLIER"

Missed all the action for today, but then again, you never know what's gonna happen later today

Don't worry about the could have, should have or would have been.

Plenty of other opportunities.

when you say the main trend what exactly do you mean?

i would say most CHF crosses have been trending down since 2007 - 2008

On a simplistic level, you could've just as easily been on the wrong side of one or all of those trades ... not worth worrying about ... there's some big winners today, and some big losers too - as has been pointed out, the UChf has been on a daily downtrend for a long time ... just today I was reading someone's "thoughts" that it'll keep going down ... thankfully, I don't listen to such thoughts, and only enter based on what the charts are telling me.
1 pip at a time ... if the entries are strong, the rest will follow ...

I use a custom SHI channel. I follow Big E's strategy soley and the channel shows me when PA going to bounce of the top or the bottom of the channel.
You have to set the channel on daily TF so when you move to smaller TF the channel still gives you an overall view. So from that you can see a downtrend or uptrend. So it aint a trend from years ago its the immediate main trend.

At the moment the long blue candle stick took up the width of the entire channel and trying to pierce the top of the channel.

If you want I could post the SHI indicator or you can find the indicator on the Sonic R thread. the full name of the indicator is SHI channel colour talk
It has helped me alot in reading PA because most of the time the price bounces back, now and then it would break through the channel.
From this you can get really nice setups and use the TDI and STOC as confirmations.
I dont use stoc to determine overbought or oversold Big E told us to use stoc to see direction and it must be in the same direction as TDI

Big E says that it is obvious that you have to use your basic forex knowledge with this system.
Like you must know your wave analysis the HH , LH , LL , HL and also divergences as well as the resistance and support levels.

These all come in handy.

Thats when you make your decision whether to enter a certain TMS setup

Set the alarm for 3am (EST) and had to rub my eyes...all charts looking the same and all showing entries. Now what?
I went with one with a lower stop-loss (recent HH or LL) and put on a trade. I'm thinking, what if I take five or six and they all stop out. Can't risk that much $.
Of course, look what happened.
Personally, I captured 40 and like others I'm going to stay out for now.

So what now,

I'm planning to stay in my daily AUDJPY trade from a few days ago, even though it has moved almost 1 cent in the wrong direction for me. Now its near my entry within 20 pips.

So what do we make of the CHF, Buy every time it hits 1.20?

If the Swiss are convinced they can force it to stay above this level it might be worth our while to test it?

Congrats to everyone who made a gain on this. Not sure I like when this happens though, I am confused enough as it is...

My opinion,

Some currencies (AU, GU, UCad and maybe some others) Seem to have spiked and our now simply continuing on their way as if nothing has happened(apart from the spike)

So I guess the big thing for this is that a lot of PA has perhaps lost its meaning over the next few days.

Has a country tried to do this before? ie. force their currency into a range, apart from simple monetary policy?

Exciting times on the markets, too bad we trade for money not excitement...
Ask me again when I know what I'm talking about.

IF you made enough pips for today or any other day , if you reached your target for the day then stop trading for the day, leave the pc and go enjoy life.
This is the discipline you must have and don't feed your greed which is really dangerous. Do not over trade.
Allow your profits to run but remember your stop limit.
There will always be setups for the days to come.

In my case I stop trading for the day once I reached my profit of 70pips or lose 30 pips. At the moment I'm learning how much the PA breathes before it goes in your direction on the...

totally cool advice to stay out today. Seem like the huge momentum make everything in TDI an entry point. I've try few of them on 4h charge and they all got stop out now. I'll left only A/J , G/A

The Euro and CHF is recommend to stay away today. I dont think we can use the normal methode with these two currency today.

I reckon great big spikes like today are the best advert for trading with the trend. After the spike there were lovely 15 min entries on G/U and E/U marked with the white arrows on the charts below.

I'm only trading minis on my live account but trading 2 minis on each I cashed out 1/2 with 100 pips profit on E/U and 80 pips profit on G/U. Never in drawdown of more than 5 pips (OK slight exageration on the G/U but stress free anyway). Letting 1 mini run on each.

From my limited experience intervention by nations only provide trading opportunities with the trend so spikes that that are golden.

Happy pipping all with this EASY method.

I closed my position on time and now I'm looking to enter the AUD/JPY again. My sell stop is at 81.40.
Lets see how this works out.
