My Sonic AU short hit at the open tonight for +100 pips. My TP was set at 1.0610.

Chart was posted showing the trade levels and now that the trade is closed, I placed trendlines to show the original EP, SL, and TP. It might look like my TP should have been filled for +112 pips based on this chart because it shows price gapping open below my TP, but this is an MT4 demo account. My real dough account did not gap open below the TP.

I also placed the zig zag indi on this chart to show the price waves or swings. It is not a perfect indi for this by no means. But it can be helpful as a sort of "training wheels." I still put it on a chart from time to time to see if the indi can catch something that I am not seeing. I find it best to leave the zig zag off and to try to pick the set up out with my eye. But the zig zag was a helpful tool from time to time, especially when I was learning.

Good trade for sure, ddaytrader. I closed mine late Friday. Missed that extra 50 pips! But, who knows, maybe the market will bring the price back up and I can catch the second ride down.

No one knows anything, TAH, so we must simply trade the waves. And they amy take us up or down from here.

I am hoping that any rally is short lived as I am short the AU futures based on a daily set up. But my stop loss is in place, so I'll let the market decide.

A CT trade. EP long = 1.0592.

1. Not London session. Higher risk.
2. Proper PA wave, with leg 1 thru Dragon and leg2 pulled back to SR.
3. Dragon angled up.
4. PA inside Dragon at EP, not above. Higher risk.

To me, this looks overall like a PA bounce upwards at the whole number, even though PA took a brief dive below, which I consider all the more positive for a move up, which would be a pullback upwards in the overall down trend.

I've noticed that a lot of big moves begins before London's open. Is it safe to open the position there?

thanks for your inputs tah and dd, i hope if not too much for other seniors to request if its also possible to do the same inputs regarding the entries so we noobs can learn how you pre-qualify the entries before taking the trades.

Then, i prefer my black & withe candles and my almost inexistent dragon...anyway it's not very important for me...just an average.

M5 should never be used for CT trades, IMHO. You were entering just as price was rallying for a first touch of the dragon on M15. The dragon often acts as "dynamic" Support and Resistance, i.e. it offers resistance during down trends and support during up trends, and as it is a "moving" average, this support and resistance is dynamic becuase it moves or changes level as PA develops. It is not nearly as important as actual chart levels, but you are better to heed it than trade againsts it.

Looks good to me, especially as this trade was aligned with the daily TF PA.

If you are still short, and this is a demo trade or a small trade where you do not need the profit, then you should place your TP at 1.0100 and see if you can catch a thousand pipper this week!
