Looking at the hourly chart for previous days we've had a fairly regular down move at 10:00 (90 min from now).

I'm worrying for for the true Double Dip in market. It seems it going to 1997-1999 market crash, really bad.

I would imagine the euro will bounce back pretty strongly. The recent news from Germany is positive.

Bonds are very strong today thats keeping it from rising I think.

The FTSE and DAX have done well this AM

Dow opening now so maybe this will get it moving.

Otherwise Im going out ..

Hello traders. I'm struggling to get my head around the fundamentals that are driving things at the moment. We seem to be in a strange kind of limbo - economic news doesn't seem to be reflected as normal in the stockmarks and fx. Witness the bad US news this week and the seemingly inexplicable rise in the stockmarkets. EUR/USD seems to be particularly range bound. My gut feeling is that it should be a lot lower - risk off trade, possible double dip recession, gold soaring, and all the Sovereign debt issues with Italy etc. That said, the Euro isn't weakening and I can't understand what's propping it up. I know that there's an expectation of QE3 in September. What happens if that doesn't happen, but is hinted at for Oct/Nov/Dec? Will prices continue to rise only to have a massive correction if/when QE3 is deemed unnecessary?

What are your thoughts?
