Anyone looking for a long on the AU if it crosses?
1. Major trend is up
2. Will be on 2nd candle
3. If the current candle keeps it's shape, will be engulfing the previous short candle
4. Will be off of the bounce of the 32 fib on the 1H
Although that looks like a good setup she is a slow old market today. IT would have to break the resistance just to the left too.

Whats everyones thoughts on cable 4h is about to cross and there is a nice hook on it indicating a potential nice trade... also close to the daily pivot

Just entered this trade,

nice double top with TDI divergence, also a bounce off a previous resistance point around aug 8 and jul 26.

SL @ 35
TP 1 @ 35
move SL to BE @ 35

I like that a lot, ill be getting in on that if the the current candle shows a bit more strength. it will be a 3rd candle cross for me but i dont mind as it is a double bottom with divergence and the first candle is pretty much a doji

Hey drift. I am not criticising....I havent had much to do with patterns, but from my understanding a double bottom is a bounce off the same spot correct?? so I dont see how you are seeing a double bottom with this??

Sorry dean your 100% correct, its not a text book double, although its pretty close. really its a higher low, but not by much. its some where in the middle, the point is it failed to break the previous low. what ever its called it looks good to me.

not so much an engulfing candle, i dont really know how to trade them. also APB candles are different, so you cant always use regular candle stick stratergies.

have a look at the M5 chart, you dont want to get involved in that unless it has broken the range (which it looks like its about to do)

I've been long on cable since last night (UK time) but it's been wallowing through Asian session so perhaps a move into London open. Monitoring closely though. It could go either way at the moment. That 1.6250(ish) area is a really important level. Yes, as Dean pointed out, it did punch through it on the 26th but pulled back very quickly.

Yes, I'm trading it on demo. The last trade I took was a sell of CHF/JPY on 12 August (sell 101.17, S/L 108.00, close 97.44) which did very well. I haven't seen anything since but I'm probably pickier and take less trades than a strict application of the method.

Personally I do see that as a DB. Patterns are not always formed perfectly!

As I said, I wasnt criticising, I havent had much experience with them, but that left candle is 50 pips below the right one....thats hardly close...so why is this a double bottom???
