DislikedIt is too bad politicians arent trained in basic economics. Australia has had several years of saving up for rainy days. I dont know if they did or not but some body should have realized the China buy buy buy would not go on forever. I dont know how much China will be cutting back and how much that will affect you totally but I think it will affect you over the coming year at least if not more. Good luck down there, we in the USA are just starting, maybe tongue in cheek here, that we just cant keep borrowing borrowing borrowing. Government cost...Ignored
DislikedGot to agree with you there Bob. I'm Australian, and we just replaced an elected Prime Minister for trying to think long term and save something from our China led resources boom. He (Kevin Rudd) tried to implement a very sensible resources tax on our mining industry, they (the mining industry)
ran a $40m public scare campaign, the media picked it up, polls looked bad, and Kevin was replaced by his own party. Cheapest buy-out of democracy for short term business interests ever.
Sad. But not untypical.Ignored
DislikedI just had a thought. I have always believed that MT4 has in its programming that if a SL or margin call is near it will move price to that point and then reverse. One of the biggest reasons I dont use SL and trade very small, eliminates that factor from my trading. On recovery trades, I am going to try to put the losing trade TP just a couple of pips from the TP of the profit trades and see if it hits those. I have seen several times where I will have a TP and SL the same and it just misses it. Sooooooooooooo ......... I am going to put the losing trade TP one or two pips behind the SL pips and see if I can get that computer program to work in my favor. So lets say my BE even point is 1.6355. I put my loser at 1.6355, and the MT4 programming, which is denied by all parties, that likes to hunt SL or TP for negative trades will go after it and then my winner trades behind it at 1.6352. Hoping momentum will carry it right into my profits and I ensure my BE trade. Just a strategy thought. Tired of those near misses.Ignored
DislikedActually it is the opposite I am thinking about. I want them to go hit the TP/SL and close out my BE trade. IN other words I am using their own programming against them to my benefit. Go ahead and hit me SL/TP and I win.Ignored

DislikedSorry to barge in. My favourite site for forex is forexcrunch (gives the news the way you describe, in small easily digestable chunks), others find dailyfx and fxstreet useful as well. I suggest you google few and just browse through some and see which one you like.

DislikedHi.
Hope everyone is doing good here. I have been in a couple of trades, i had eur/gbp stopped at be, and nzd/usd up about 300 pips but it is dropping at the moment and usdjpy witch i countertraded and is about -100 pips at the moment and eur/usd wich is -80 and dropping. But, I have been manually backtesting with the recovery strategy and it is impressive, it seems that the markets are ranging so much that you can eliminate almost all your losses with recovery strategy.
So im going to try to see that in action and how it goes when I take off those...Ignored
