Only a Scout can catch it in this case.
But use it with your own risk.
I entried in counter trend but I close my profit only 10 pips, when the pa seems bounce at 1.4445.
I had bad experience in counter EU, so I was chicken out. It's my bad.

If you want to catch counter trend. I watched in 5m, SonicR could work well.
But use it with your own risk.

Did you chicken out because you did not have a SL ??
Coz cannot see any SL in your chart.
Your M5 Short Entry looks good for SonicR Classic Short, just that you did not hold it long enough for profit.
My preference is to not look and not trade on M5, but look at M15 and trade M15 instead.
I took 2 Scouts on E/U Short M15 around 1.4473, SL 30pips, both hit TP.
One hit TP +30pips, second hit TP +50pips.
I did not see this Scout as Counter Trend, reason is recent weeks it is the US session that is dominating and providing the real big moves.
See it as US session give new main trends recently.
I have more trades hitting SL during Asia & London sessions than US session recently.
Just figure out yourself what you did wrong last time on counter trend E/U.
Best is still to go with the main trend, hard part is to figure out where is main trend at times.
Forget about your bad experience about counter trend E/U, that was an old trade.
Every trade is a New trade, and every trade is an independent trade, meaning not dependent and not linked to your old trade.

My preference the same as you at 15m but I use 5m in counter trend only.
I watched SR at 1.445x if PA break strong I will move stoploss to BE. This one made me chicken out.
My histories in counter trend at EU have a bad statistic success, less then 50% I believe. And that's before I use sonicR, lately I watched in 5m looks good but I rarely use it. Maybe later after I have confidence in counter trend
Thank you for your input, I will learn it.
Ussually I search wave using classic SonicR 15m around 2 hour before US market open until one hour before London close.

Maybe you should get a cleaner chart so you can focus on price,
yet alone see price
oh trust me I see price. When you hve 4 charts open of different time frames on on each pair you are trading. (I love esignal). No.. it is called CLICKING THE WRONG PAIR INTO A TRADE. LOL
