Hello, what is everyone's open price for the daily candle today, as On my real Account (Oanda) has daily open at 1.43666 and Fxpro demo account which i use to check ES futures and CL futures etc shows an EU open of 1.43786.

So just wondering what was correct as It seems it might be close to that on close today and was wondering if it will be a doji, or a bullish or bearish day.

That is right. But the point was, that the Lehman case was only a bump in the EW-road of stock-indices. Sorry, should have mentioned it.

 EW deals with the mood of masses. So Elliot waves represent themselves best in indices.

Don't use it but I accept it as much as any other TA tool. In my case S/R. Valid for trading in the context of your trading plan but not as the one that determine price in the markets. A RSI oversold is as valid or as useless as a EW wave 3.

However I must be emphatic in not accepting any TA tool as the Holy Grail. There is no way that EW or any other tool overides market and price.

Sorry mate but I think is an aberration to believe Elliott waves (or ANY TA TOOL) are a function of human mood. Thats over the top thinking that a couple of lines (EW waves or any other) overides, economics, finance, politics, risk and capital flows. Markets wasn't, isn't and will never be an exact science !!!.

What was the trigger for the EURUSD to drop down to 1.18 ...

Definitely not an easy task in currencies. In stock a lot easier with the company financial information (how do you think the majority of fund managers work?...not with EW or TA I can guarantee you 100%)

lol...ok that was mean but that was my point. EW as any other TA is always dependent on the chartist. My point was that price is the same but what it changes is the perspective.

In simple words if EW (or any other TA) can't not explain,forecast or else exactly the same scenario without TFs and etc involved, it is a 100% proof that price and markets ARE NOT predefined in a EW framework. WE traders are the one who rationalize with TA tools in order to exploit trading opportunities...market don't give a damm if there is wave 4 or 5 or at S/R or oversold or fast MACD crossing the slow.

I ask you if you believe too, that stock markets are driven too only by fundamentals?

Long term stock prices are driven and a reflexion of company and sectoral fundamentals in the underlying. However, short term moves knee jerk reaction/correction and bubbles/burst are a response of herd mentality that, in the case of the latter especially, are triggered exactly when prices has completed disconnected from its fundamental value and they are driven on something else (mania or panic).

And as always: everytime a nice opportunity to defend EW against FA traders

I have already recorded all the transactions (orders) a plus. there was one transaction (now 1 order, 25.1 lot for GBP / USD).

Ha I knew it. Well I speculated you have about 1mill EUR, but slightly more translates to 1,15 M$, which would make it about 800k EUR, I was not that far off. This puts you at 6,25:1 leverage, you don't go for daily moves but short distances as you say, that would be (I speculate) 20-40 pips, SL unknown. But it you have an equal SL you total risk per trade would be 1,7%. (@40 pips). Not a huge deal if you ask me. Also depends on various reductions and additions to positions.
