Hi,

Can someone please explain how to back test this strategy? I've done backtesting of an EA once, but that's about it. How would I backtest this strategy? Any help is appreciated. Though I am looking online to see whether there is a tutorial on this.

Well i have not followed this thread or system...but the answer is simple.

STICK TO YOUR RULES! If you dont trade those hours and a signal happened before your "day" started....DONT worrry about it! Move on to the next pair and look for the next setup. Your not going to catch every move in the markets and you will not make EVERY pip...get over it, its a FACT! K.I.S.S!lol

im thinking of taking this short trade when the markets open, got a double top with tdi confirmation.

any thoughts?

Well the price line is parallel so you might want to re consider as per Big E rule.

Next..it IMO is a flag pattern so you might want to wait before you consider shorting it.

Watch the 5ema/ma ( yellow line) . it is paralleling out. Plus the price appears to be moving with in a range.

I've found a set up for a short on GU according to the system: TDI green line crossed down sloping red line at an ideal angle, Stoch is going down and last red HA candle closed below the ma line. Just waiting for the market to open and to take all that pips that will follow.

Sunday opens are not good time to trade, It is usually a very unpredictable session, specially Sundays.
Indicators always obey Price, not the other way.

The market is closes for the small boys but remains opens in the week end for banks and institutionnal so be careful of the gap.

Thanks Forethan for the info. I've heard somewhere that the opening gap (that happens on Sunday) is usually filled afterwards.

Hi Palinkasa.

What time would you start?

PS I've heard about a trader who uses the fact that gaps tend to close most of the time. He has some sort of system based on it.
