Have a lot to learn in getting back to actually placing long trades. Would love to see some of your charts, brother! This thread can be a pain in the butt for posting them, because no matter what you do, some gobshite always has something to say on what you're doing wrong! And I mean beyond the...Demo! Fake! Micro! !!! reasons.

I love this place for what it is...a fakking Zoooooo!

Would be nice to be able to tweak our methods on the strength of others, too though!

I have completed just about everything I need to do before next week starts. I am now done for the week. Have my entry levels set( things could change) but man, I am a little scared right now. Setting my Limits at levels that will not have much of a chance of being reached but if so my initial entry will be kind.

I am in a good mood, the brews are definetly taking their effect, but I just have a bad feeling about so many things taking place in the world.

Gold?

I see another bubble forming.

Didn't mean to bring anybody down. I have a lot to be thankful for and I shouldn't complain.

Dropping down the fundies and letting it bias your thoughts can cost ya large...ask some of the folk who lost their asses in their shorts this week...(did you see what I did there).

We had a line in the sand last week which I mentioned and drew out several times on several charts as the break zone retrace, and well, be damned if that ain't the same area we bounced from.

Now, I hadda go threw a few different perspectives before I seen the new ceiling on market close, and be fooked if it weren't the daily tops. Yeah, a little easier view on the H4 and you can trace this bitch back on the charts to see this as the reaction line, cripes, maybe the Gator is onto something with his deep back historical talk...

Anywhoooooooooooo.....

No chino buys at the top, the yanks don't own what they have sold, so, will we see the range fill and current ceiling as a glass ceiling like last week, or will we just fill and fade away into sub support range of this?

Probably not in conventional position trading in the way you think of it. Take Joe Trader. Day in, day out, he quotes bid/ask spreads and makes a small average profit per transaction. One day a customer comes in and has to sell $2.1 billion, and the market breaks 1 percent. He's just made $1 million on that one trade.

In a lot of markets that's illegal. It's called frontrunning.

It's not illegal in the interbank market. He's not putting his order in front of customer's; he's basically riding his coattails.

So he does the whole order at the same price?

Generally, the first $100 million would be the bank's. That's just the way the market is.

Is there any difference between that transaction and what is normally referred to as frontrunning?

Yes, it's legal in one market and illegal in another.

That's the answer from the regulatory viewpoint. I'm asking the question from a mechanical perspective: is there an actual difference in the transaction?

The real answer is no, but I'll give you the answer from a bank's perspective. When I allow you to come in and sell $2 billion in the foreign exchange market, I'm accepting the credit risk and providing the liquidity and facility to make that trade. In exchange, you're providing me with the information that you're about to sell $2 billion. That's not a totally unreasonable realization.

I was thinking of the R.E bubble here in the states.

It will only get much worse before it gets better for many different reasons the main one being the age demographics in America.

My charts are a complete mess bro, I mean it. I trade an extremely complicated method, something unlike what you see here. It takes a very long time to fit all the pieces together, but I will be willing to show some of the more important ones. My mentor passed away recently, I am still very affected by that. We came to be very close, and we talked about many many things the last several years (chatted a lot), trading and otherwise. At one point I asked him: How can I ever thank you for this? He said: Become successful and teach others. I will not be ready to actually teach for many years, but I will show to whoever is interested the main parts of the system.
