Another thing that's very real, and works against stops in forex, as opposed to, say, a lot of futures markets, is the tendency for what legends call "stop runs."

Maybe those really are caused by evil traders ordering "buy," sucking up the retail's stops, and then dumping them out at the top to the new set of retailers who are now buying the "breakout." Or maybe they're caused by Walmart or Catapillar or Boeing taking down an 8 figure forward rate agreement that hit the market all at once. The effect is the same: spikes that are meaningless to the actual market "signal" direction that cause stops to get hit a he!! of a lot more often than they should.

The market is nearly dead and overdone ...

All they do play ... that is a little bit that NYSE thingy ...

If NYSE counts down a few points ... then EU does as well ... and vice versa ...

And if NYSE play it up again a little bit ... which is easily possible ...

Na schön ... dann ebent wieder höher ...

Then they will lift EU as well a little ...

But overall no big deals now anymore ...

The market is dead now ... and now there are only the dead ones in this market ... or those who are forced to do so ... because they have slept all day long before ... and missed the major business ...

Or those who are engaged with real long time frame positions prospective ... real position traders ...

But real position traders don't talk that much in a forex forum ...

All that counts now is our beloved daily and weekly closing when NY and Chicago has closed its doors and floors ...

Alles andere hat überhaupt gar keine Relevanz ! ! !

Interactive Br0ker's API (not FIX) Gateway, with proprietary (i.e., "homemade") feed handling, analytic, and order management components that work off the API's event/method interfaces.

What does your chart say? What does your system say?

If we can clear 4390 & 4363, 4340 is plausible. Or maybe it's not. I don't know, I don't have a crystal ball. But that's what it says.

Logical , if I had the power to move the market anytime by 10 pips then I would like to play by bad habbit to join in a flow to take 20 pips & sell at some suiteable place the same , play again & again fast . but market not so small & every party can be pissed off here & not work long last . and the filling order may take time for big parties also & so ultimate wiped out if not handle with extreme care too , at times ok .all are equally at risk in the market , the fed also .

All depends on your own MM , For me i trade with same plan since May 2011 which is No 1.50 and it must go back 1.34 before going any higher

This is a lame statement...not meaning to be a prick, but if you are trying to help somebody who is holding a trade underwater, ya might wanna actually qualify your statement a little better.

And, uh, backing it up with a chart wouldn't hurt either.

Two things about IB's API. First, it is among the most mature and most solid in the industry. Forex is an "afterthought" to IB; I'd venture to guess most automated applications are options or equities. They do some prime brokerage, and some hedge funds are probably doing quasi-HFT (in the hundreds of milliseconds, rather than the under-ten ms range) with it.

To get a feel for it, you can go to their website, download their desktop interface, and in the folder it lands in, there are API examples in all the high level languages. There's one for Excel. Then using the "demo" data feed, you can play with all of the functionality with just knowledge of Excel (and a little Excel macro understanding).

The "demo" data feed is not real prices; it's designed to be spiky, then sluggish, have gaps and everything that would make a developer's list of "worst nightmares."

Something tells me i should hold it over the weekend and save another 20pips then close it. I dont know if its good idea, never hold loss position over the weekend, however looking on the chart i believe its gonna drop. Im still novice trying different things, but moved to real account as last results on demo were very promising.
