agree, risk off was my read, could just be an excuse for smart money to run stops, we still got a full days trading before the end of the week..

Apparently, that USD funding taken yesterday, which I dismissed in a post as likely due to normal banking factors, is one of the underpinnings of this rout. I was just talking to an NYSE guy, and that's what he cited as a big part of the early "talk."

I still don't think it's the smoking gun of serious liquidity problems somewhere in the European banks, but I suppose it's as good an excuse as any other if they're waking up cranky.

The main reason he called, though, was because the note future crossed 2.00 yield going down. He always calls when milestones are set in bond yields. That, and he couldn't remember the word "disintermediation" and wanted to have it ready to use.

I have been watching 4280 for possible fade, it might hold, but I will let you guys test the water and wait for the train to leave the station.

Apparently even in the stinky depths of the 08 GFC, 10 year yields never fell below 2.02 and today it's at 2.02 already.
We're all stories in the end. Just try to make it a good one.
