i read the book energy non crisis and all the oil they found on gull island there is enough there to supply the usa for over 100 years, that oil field been classified ever since which is now called liberty oil fields and it has biggest oil rig in the world thereIgnored
DislikedI respect the fact you've read up on this but no matter how big global oil well reserves are at the mo peak oil is definately not a myth. It's an undeniable fact that oil reserves are finite and consumption is one day going to reach a point above global extraction and refining rates. There is no doubt there, that is a fact. It might not be this decade but it will occur. Can't find info on this Gull field at the mo, but 100 years supply for USA. What about the rest of the world!!!
Anyway if it was all extracted and used the resultant global warming...Ignored
DislikedThere will always be something to trade, the world always needs traders.Ignored
DislikedAnd traders will always be viewed by many as parasites and worse. That is why the futures exchanges, over 150 years old, have learned by surviving populists, progressives, libertarians, and general morons, that the Party Line is always to stress the economic value and risk management value of the markets. Speculators are good because they provide liquidity to allow the Greater Purpose to operate even more efficiently.Ignored

DislikedOne thing that is interesting about Gull Island. While it seems almost all references to it are from the libertarian/conservative blogs, the island itself has been blurred out on Google Earth.
And Yahoo Maps doesn't even have it. This is getting interesting...Ignored
DislikedThe plot thickens.. Reminds me of the co-ordinates of that comet, supposedly on intercept course for Earth's vicinity sometime next year, blanked out of Google Sky on the most recent survey...Ignored
