Well didn't short. Large spike there. Same with eur/chf - don't know how I ended up losing money on that when I had sl at +10pips.

It doesn't matter how small your SL, if there is an intervention (or big spike) and price spikes through your stop, you will be closed out at the price after the move.

Similar situation here, stop was at -5 but I still lost a lot more than that.

If there was no one to take the order at the +10 price then it gaps up to the first available fill. That's what happened. Now is there really that much of a gap or does the broker take advantage and extend gap? Who knows.

When liquidity dries up, you can lose out well beyond your stops.

It's over for now, I think. Got a small 30 pips.

I think they are defending yesterdays low, which makes sense. It will be harder to defend if it breaks.

No more CHF either... SNB just turned it volatile with rumors of 1% deposit charge. It would seem rumor monger does better than any Yen intervention. Perhaps BOJ ought to start a rumor then once people start shorting again suprise them with an intervention. Shock & awe affect would keep us shorters on our toes.
