was actually just nailing out some 5-8 pippers on demo with a new demo platform im getting accustomed to( citiprofx, not the MT4 version)

Just checking daily, and today roll will beat the record of more consecutive alternate bars (red - green) breaking prev highs and lows in a row since 2001.

The last 8 daily bars are a officially a mess ...

That's it kiddo. You need to preserve your capital to trade another day and having such a black day and hitting your monthly DD, it is time to go back to demo.

i 100% agree with that. I really dont have an ego about taking losses and goin back to demo. I understand the nature of the biz( i think..lol) and know that while learning new things sometimes this stuff happens.

I have daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly DD limits, if they ever get hit I stop trading and take stock of what I am doing, or what I am not doing.

i dropped 4% today, 15% on the month. 4% is my daily DD, 8% is weekly, 15% monthly and 25% is quarterly. what u are saying is spot on though. Im finding the way Ive position traded isnt really correlating too well(in these markets anyhow) with the movements from day to day/session to session...

Nothing wrong with going back to demo to finetune how you trade, you will be surprised what it will do to you.

Well ill take your advice and get off the 5/15/1hr and try out the 30/1/4... seems like that may be key for me...

If you hit your monthly limit, take a few days of first, don't watch the screens, stay away from the news channels, recharge those batteries and then try again.

they always are creepin around in there..... but its more about the fact I dont feel my game plan is fully fleshed out for what im tryin to do... so Ill get stuck after the market makes a few unexpected moves.... ya know?

Man have we had some range to play...

That being said...rejection at weekly open is I think a key part of this last plummet. Now that NY and LO and Chino all gotta chance to load the short boat at top, and reject higher highs, a possible DTEMA retrace during the Next LO-NY x over and we could go into all out freefall zone until Tuesday...(Weekend bullshit notwithstanding)...

i have a plan but I feel its missing a few key parts... so Im not executing with confidence and Ill get spun... ive pinpointed some things I really gotta flesh out...

You made a decision, so piss off and don't come back till Monday. Don't go looking at charts, ignore the news. Spend Sat/Sun to write down what you do well, and what you are crap at, work on both starting Monday.

If they are not a big factor then it's all good because that's the real bitch. I understand what you are saying, you need full confidence in your game plan. That's all we have to go on. Give it a little time, fine tune, try different things in demo. For me it was like this: I tried many things but somehow after a while I found myself going back to a certain style more or less in a conscious way. My mind was telling me that's the way I have to trade... So then I focused on THAT style, fine tune it again and again.... As of sudden moves, think about the thousands of little fish moving in the same direction at the exact same second. When the fish get scared, go with it, ask questions later.
