I'm just commenting on the last person's EURUSD trade. I've been posting a lot of charts lately. Callisto, don't be hating, hating is bad.

This is just so cool. Just took profit of a hundred pips on EURUSD using the 1Hr TF.

Have shorted the Eur/Jpy for 120 pip profit. Unsure whether to head to bed now and get up in 2.5 hrs and check it and hope for more pips or take it all off the table now before bed.

Hope everyone else has enjoyed a bit of success in the last couple of hours.

I'm sayin nuffink. If I said that I would close the trade, you can guarantee that it'd drop like a stone. If I said I'd let it run, you can guarantee that it'd retrace and wipe the profits out in about 10 minutes. Ho hum

Wonderful! I had to leave, when price was around +50 pips. I exited with +48 pips, as i couldn't track it.

Are the orange lines hand drawn or an indicator?

I was eyeing 4205 as my tp, but I had to leave for work. I would rather bank 114 pips with peace of mind. It figures that I could have had another 80-100 pips, but oh well, it's more than I had before I started today. Good job on your end. Keep banking those pips!

The way I prefer to enter is 1st determing your setup so the 4Hr and 1hr should be in agreement. (Train with all cars are going the in the same direction)

Most likely you are getting a buzz on your phone to check the charts from the email alert script or the PC is dinging or tied to what ever audio you have chosen to alert you.

Then you goto the Screen and evaluate the type of cross you are working with. Drop to a 5m/15m to evaluate immediate market noise. Evaluate when was the last cross on the Low TF? You can then proceed to turn on the LTF alert system just for this entry signal, I say just for this signal b/c on a LTF chart the ALert may go off every few minutes and that's annoying when you don't need it on. As soon as you get the next signal on the LTF chart you can enter. (Taking the train on your side of the platform in the direction you wish to go - PipCity)

This refinement method has allowed me to better guage my entries so I don't have to deal with many pullbacks. In most cases it's within a few minutes to the hour of the 1Hr signal. You don't have to be glued to the screen once you turn on the Low TF alerts, just come back when the alert happens and you have roughly 5-15m to get the trade off, program all parts of the trade, entry, Target 1,2,3 and Stop... walk-away and let machine take over now since we know how well we humans deal with trade emotions.

There is no change or deviation to the method - merely applying the method to the entry chart for tighter stops and better money mgmt.

Another way to look at is if you blindly enter on the 1Hr open you get a natural rythem, a ebb and flow of the market. It will breathe so let's say it will breathe in and PA moves 50% into the 1Hr candle and then reverses, to breathe out, it's at that turning point that most likely not always the Low TF is signaling a TDI agreement with the Larger TF's. You are still entering off that 1hr signal just when the momentum is in your favor. Some candles may just run and the 1st agreement signal after a pullback might be lower than the bilnd open entry but that's trading.

Test the theory, practice it and get your feel for it.

Edit: You can also just take the 4h and use the next TDI signal on the 1Hr that's in agreement... I goto the 5/15m b/c I am just that picky with my entries - this basically turns a lagging indicator (High TF) into a leading one (lower TF).

So how do you determine when to exit? Do you use support and resistance lines? Pivot Points? Trend Lines? or Fibonacci method?

Or do you wait for TDI to pull back (Flatten out, check mark reversal, hooks) on lower time frames?

I use a combination of all for my tp. I always run a fib. A lot of times the fib ext will match up with a s/r area and even a pp. When you get a bunch of those together, it could be a high probability reversal point. Lately, I have been able to pick up the momentum pretty well of the pair, but only after a lot of experience so I still don't rely on it faithfully yet. Obviously if the candles are getting smaller, that has to tell you something.
