here's another possible short scenario in the eurusd. short around 1.4320 (with risk management and mental stop). target today's lows around 1.4200. reason for trade - action follow-up, fibo resistence, support turned resistence levels.
entered short at fibo as mentioned in post. could have been a better price at the higher fibo but it's still a good trade. target is still around the 4H lows.

Hi All,

When trading Intra-Day on lower time frames.......if a trade turns on you how many pips do you tend to let it go against you before you decide it's a bad trade and bail out?

I'm profiting every week now, but still have a tendency to make some stupid mistakes!

Depends on conditions and if Im watching it - 15-45, with position size adjusted to fit a potential monetary loss that the stop implies.

I tend to start with a large stop, then either manually adjust it, or let it trail.
