Hi

When you set a limit order to enter at a better price, does it reduce your stop or is it still at 170?
Ignored

still 170

question to the rules!

Must the fast stochastik cross the slow stochastik into the 40-60 level? or be outside cross the levels 40-60.

tanks steve

Hi Steve!

The cross must be anywhere above level 40 when going short

and

anywhere under 60 when going long...

I have just moved my SL on the UCH trade... more than 700 pips is something I really don't want to get to 200 or something so I moved my SL to +540 or so...

Thanks, Olu, for the support

This is an excellent demonstration of controlling greed and emotion. Many of us would have closed at 200+ profit. This is some thing we all need to learn if we want to be profitable in the long run. Thanks for sharing while it's happening...

Thanks, man! I appreciate your words...

I have been trading for more than 5 years. I have tried maaaany systems with more or less (more is better) bad results... The thing I have learned though is that without discipline and patience, you will NOT WIN in the long run. The system can be great, but without those two things and PROPER money management, YOU BITE THE DUST in the long run... :nerd:

Slurpee --

I was not aware of this forum before you re-opened it here as the Easy no stress Daily. Cheers and thanks for that.

However, I was wondering if the use of the 100 EMA line came from research on that (now closed?) site?

I guess I am saying I wondered how it came to be 100 -- which seems to be working! -- and not possibly something smaller. A lot of pips happen prior to the Daily crossing the 100. Just curious.

Can you offer any thinking on this?

Thank you for continuing to show us how DISCIPLINED trading really works.

Best regards, Forest

Forest,

it really comes from the original idea... My opinion is that 100 is just the right number. A lot of traders use MA and that means it can sometimes become a "self-fulfilling prophecy" - people take it as a support or resistance. The most often used MAs are 50, 100, 150 and 200 (in longer time frames), 50 gives too much "noise" on the chart, 200 is very slow. So that makes 100 and 150 the best... I don't think it really matters which one you use, this system is a trend trading anyway, so you could use both. ..

If u use smaller MA, you will get more trades but that also means more losses... smaller MA means you will get more false signals...

dont worry about the moves you did not catch, there are tons of other trades coming! patience, patience, patience...

you dont need 50 trades a month. If you make only 100 pips in a month and you trade 20 standard lots, you will be still happy

Hi

I have just closed a losing euro trade as I believe a signal long has been indicated. No sooner that I entered the trade it rocketed up and never looked back all day.

That is how it is sometimes.

I am sorry about the EU position, and you are quite right. It will happen and none of us should be surprised.

Still, on this one, I noticed the Sto was getting pretty low at our entry point, so I passed (post 340). As we know a low Sto doesn't mean the price won't continue down, BUT it is a hint that the turn might not be too far away.

Anyway, I know this interpretation by me isn't part of Forum rules, and maybe I would lose more good trades than save bad ones by my action.

And, Olu, I can see you are a wonderful trader. You'll get it right on the next few trades, I bet.
