It would be very foolish to assume BOJ is going to step in immediately after default is avoided by USA. There are 2 other ratings agencies who may not share the same view as Fitch. A Chinese agency threatened immediate downgrade.

Noda recently actually said that although the Yen is strengthening too much, he is still watching the FX markets closely. If that is not an indication that he isn't ready to pull the trigger I don't know what is. And more recently, US hasn't given support for BOJ intervention.

Don't have any of the other lines above but I have 1.431x to the upside. A break on risk/panic below I have 1.400x with extension 1.387x but that may need NFP and not for tomorrow...
