Is anyone trading the pairs that are setting new historic levels such as NZD or USD/CHF, etc.

This addresses the discussions on trading around the 32/68 levels on the TDI.

The only thing that I have seen that is effective is trading after a recent break of S/R in the direction of the trend - I added the Fractals to show the levels of the GBP/NZD for the past trend run. (I am not advocating adding these but I have seen a few S/R indicators added in the thread - too much clutter for me!).

Sticking to the 5 rules this would not be a favoured set up but may be a thought, seeing as several pairs are running into new histroic levels.

For SL - dcginc's rule of 2XATR seems to work but needs to take into account swing H/L at a minimum to allow breathing space.

I`m not soliciting anything for myself or anyone else.
I was asked what i was using and I provided the information.
As for muddling up the thread, this thread has been muddled hundreds of post ago.
With adding additional indicators and trading different time periods, that is not part to the Big E "SimpleSystem".
I trade the system as is, where is.

This is another lesson learned about trying to help someone.

As for the people who have pmed me asking more about the systems I`m using, and/or could I send them the system files.
The answer is H*LL no.

As a relative newbie I do not know how to calculate and determine 2XATR. Can someone educate me about this? THanks

Everyone if I recall correctly, the old Forum was moved to Commercial by F/F b/c of the posting and referrences to Commercial programs against Big E's will, any of the old timers could probably confirm this. This the reason this thread was restarted here under TMS in the non-commercial area. So the group is just trying to prevent the admins from moving the thread again for the wrong reasons.

So I wouldn't feel punished or upset, just know everyone is looking out for the thread to remain in it's current location.

If I have mispoken anyone, please let me know and correct me.

ATR is the Average Trading Range for a pair on whichever timeframe you are watching. I have this shown in the upper left of my screen.

This is calculated by you guessed it - an indicator - ATR Pips UL Corner - Set the multiplier to 1 and the timeframe to 7

or you can drag the standard ATR to your TDI or Stochastics window from your Navigator - colour set to none - timeframe set to 7 per dcginc.

Suggest you read all of dcginc's posts on this

For MT4 education - you tube or download from the paper clip - same for all indicators - they are in there - just hide images and plough through the list - also read Big E's thoughts on pdf or doc files.

enjoy the bed time reading - it is all part of the education and we've all had to do it at some point.

This morning at 07:00, 4H TF, I saw a perfect setup for the gbp/usd although it was the 2nd candle and against the D, 4H, & 1H trend. But British mfg had a dismal report plus a deal on the US debt seem imminent so I traded against the trend.

Sell Stop @ 1.6373; took some profit @ 1.6331, moved to BE, and then TP hit @ 1.6271. The pr went on down to 1.6238 but I couldn't monitor moving the SL so I got out.

I basically caught a trend change/pullback - I don't know which but it pays to keep an eye on the news and previous S/R. Hope you all did well this morning also. p.

just talked w Eel...here's the deal..He IS better, but not to the point where he feels he is ready to hit it hard and trade consistently...he wont be back posting much until he does

Please consider keeping him in your thots and prayers...he is a heck of a nice man...

As a member for one whole week, I just want to say how sorry I am to hear that Big E. is dealing with difficulties. My sincere wishes go out to you.

Does anyone have a "short list" of the members who are part of Big E's inner circle? It would help me (and others) to pay special attention to the postings they put up, as I assume their guidance would be similar to what we could expect to hear from E himself. Thanks in advance....

PS - Is anyone familiar with the indicator called TDIVisual? I got it from somewhere in this thread but can't find where. I'm looking for explanations of the various bits of info it throws up on the charts. For example, the yellow asterisks, the B's and the S's (they don't seem to be for Buy and Sell), etc. Is there a guide or vid??

Well, it's great to wake up here in Melbourne town to 95 + pips on a E/CHF 4H trade. Along with the other Monday trades i took, Big E's recommendation to get to the hardware store for that wheelbarrow is starting to make sense. It doesn't matter if it was a one off . Thanks also to the trader who posted E's 40 + page doco from the old thread a couple of pages back. It is pure gold.

Thanks Big E. I read you're not feeling the best. I hope you are comfortable at least and your health picks up. We are very lucky to have you here.

one more thing...before Big e started this thread, he had another called craig harris stochastics method. you can search for it at the top of this page. At around page 208, he switched to the methos that we use now, wit 4 and 1 hr charts.

the reason that I am telling you this is in that thread he posted A LOT of examples. It may help someone to look at that thread and see his examples
