I see SL 1.4340 and TP 1.4530

Come on now, enigmafx, size of account means nothing here ... I started trading forex three years ago with a $25 USD micro account, and now I trade comfortably sized account at IB.

We all start somewhere, and most of us start with very little. What matters is not where we are or where we came from, but where we are going. And here at SonicR thread, we are all here to help each and everyone of us together to get to a better place than we are now.

FWIW, I am glad to see at least one other Soniker who realizes that if you are going to make it in the forex game, there is no better place than interactivebrokers. I would tell every Soniker to make your goal to open an IB account as soon as you have the 10K USD minimum. They play no games, and their spreads on all pairs cannot be beat. Here is what my quote panel looks like right now:

Everyday with a bucket shop is a day where you are losing more or profiting less than you should.

IB - the only spikes are real market moves, not a broker hunting for its customers stops. Spreads that are liquidity and market driven, not driven by the bucketshopbroker's greed.

Please note that IB does charge commission on each trade. But the commission is very, very small, and for traders trading a standard lot (100K) it is only 1/5 of a pip! Think about that - .2 of a pip on a spread thant is usually .5 to 1.0 pips! Even FXCM micro usually had the real spread at 2-3 pips, plus the extra 2 pips "slippage"on every trade.

The only negatives with IB is that customer service is not the best - they are busy and they are cheap, so they do not have time for stupid question. You had better know what you are doing before you trade with them. I suggest that once you fund your real account with them that you spend a month trading the demo account they give you. You can only get an IB demo account if you have funded a real trading account first. At least that is how it used to be.

The other negative really isn't a negative, but it took some getting used to: When you trade FX with them, your account will not only have your base currency in it, but it will have residual amounts of other currencies from your trades as well. For example, my account not only has USD in it (which is my base currency), but it also has small amounts of AUD, CHF, and JPY in it at the moment. Not a big deal, but you need to realize that this will make your account balance fluctuate slightly as the exchange rates change.

Moving to IB was the second best thing I ever did for my trading. Finding SonicR was the best, however!

With "other" currency as part of your account how is that realized in your margins?

Oh, come On! With the Sonic R. System, and hundreds of pips to be made, what is an extra pip or two charge by the broker!? Give these poor brokers a break! They need our money, seeing how they never learned to make money honestly. So, let's all help them out. SonicR allows us to be "saviours".
