I'm not going to comment on the following, because it is against my belief that discussion of politics or religion, beyond the immediate effects on the market, have no place on this kind of board.

That said, there is an interesting take on the roots of, and depth of, the Republican anti-government reflex that we're now seeing on this site. The author's father was one of the architects of the original deal the Republican establishment made with the evangelical activists over the issue of abortion, in order to expand the party's base.

There was a discussion on a different board about creating our own country. It's not that difficult as it may sound. Just have to find a place... LOL.
