DislikedUm it actually has defaulted on it's debts before. In 1933 the US devalued bonds that rightly should have been paid in cold coins of weight and value designated in the bonds. By devaluing the dollar President Roosevelt in cahoots with congress effectively defaulted in the monies owed on the bonds.
I also think the US had a war bond default back in the late 1700's but I can't remember that one so well.Ignored
