Thanks for that, pg. Something else about FF that I didn't know about! Another thing I haven't a clue how to do, is split somebody's post into sections, in order to comment after each one. I hope that makes sense!

At the beginning of what you want to quote should be the word quote in square brackets and at the end /quote in square brackets then say whatever you want to, then put the same thing in again for each part you want to quote.

for splitting quoted text you need to break up the text under reply into blocks as desired and then wrap each quoted text block in quote tags as shown in the attached image. Then, type in the respective responses below each block.

Hi EV, Just wondering why you would of waited for the later entry compared to the one on my chart. If we were watching this in real time would you have still gone for the later entry on your chart ?

I did say that I'd missed the opportunity due to other things, Dan. Plus, the potential trade that you highlighted occurred whilst I was still snoring my head off!!
However, regarding "real-time", I'm posting a chart like yours, to show you what my possible plan would have been. Because price was so close underneath the Main Pivot line, I would have wanted a really positive move up above that line before entering. It didn't happen. Five candles ran along the MPL, before a doji appeared and price sank back into the MA zone. I've marked with an arrow where I might have started to be interested, and it's where that little doji appeared. IN the MA zone, and just under the 13ema/MPL confluence. The candle after the doji was the confirmation candle, although it has to be said that it wasn't showing a lot of momentum. A possible entry would have been above the high of said confirmation candle, but as you can see, not with a very good result. Ideally, when price is hovering around the MPL in a case like this, you'd be looking for a strong move indicated by lots of momentum. However, I did say "ideally", and for sure it doesn't happen that often.

As with anything new, you’re likely to make mistakes, learn from them, and then improve. Many new traders risk too much of their account, and burn it out before learning anything. Money management is the “secret” to avoiding this fate. This abstract idea can go down to the 2% rule. Making 2% an overriding priority means no stop loss movements, using lower leverage, making a bigger initial deposit, having higher spreads, or anything, else that will keep the losses limited. Some things are more comfortable to do than others, but keeping this rule will likely yield in better results for newbies in the long run - keep them away from burning their account.

I know it's forex factory but today was a bit of a shocker for me on the Euro, two breakevens and a loss, however a beautiful day on Dow index futures! Last trade still active. Of course, any idiot can short the Dow on a day like today!

The Frankfurt Open signals the start of the European Trading Day and is well known for its frequent short term reversals - and thus failures to follow through on breakouts!

So far this morning a well signalled Lower High aound FO gave a drop to the bottom of the current BO Box, with the actual low of this swing around mid FH, so a good time to bank some profits and wait for The Brits and the London Open......
