I have been trading for many years ago and yes sometimes August is slow but there are also a lot of good opportunities, the only period where It is useless to trade because market is dead is from December 20 to January 2. You can check some past years the month of August and you will see that It is not so different than other months, at least for 4 hour charts I have not noticed any big difference.
Indicators always obey Price, not the other way.

Interesting choice..... Tdi angle is poor, stochs are way over bought and PA failed to break last swing high only 4 bars ago. A better example of a bounce on that cahrt is around the 21st July, compare TDI angle and stochs

trading made simple? last year that almost sounded like a joke to me but it's gotten extremely easier over the past few months.

fxprolive.com is amazing. Will definitely answer some questions. Good luck fellow traders! I'm in a trade right now so I'll let you know how it goes. Best of luck,

Hi Eel-Team!
When setting up, I can see all the indicators except: #1 best 5 tdi.tpl --
Since it is a .tpl file I copied to my template folder. But when the chart is up it's not on the template list. So I also put it in the Experts>Indicators file - but still don't see it. From the title and reading the posts, I assume it's the 5EMA. So I put that up myself. Please tell me if that is enough. (However, from looking at charts here from others, it seems the standard settings I'm using must be slightly different.)

Thanks so much for all you do! I can already see this is gonna be $FUN!

Brokers I use are GFT and FXCM. (I will open a demo on FXDD before I send in any charts on this forum.) Both FXCM and GFT open their H4 bars (candles) at 12,4 and 8 GMT. This makes the candles vary quite a bit from what you see on FXDD. This issue has hounded me whenever I'm discussing details regarding the H4 or Daily charts with anyone on a platform/broker with different start times. Any thoughts on this?

So I have entered 8 trades since Sunday. I have followed all of the rules, and have had 2 winners, 6 losers, and one currently in the losing. The trade I am in now is the GJ. I entered on the new 4 hour candle 2 hours ago. I had the Green conformation pointing up, Stoch was up, and not yet in to the over sold area. Everything looked good, but once again, the trade has turned. The only legitimate profitable trade I had was +80 on Sunday, all of the rest have been 5-10 pippers, with 15-20 pip losers.

Hang in there. With this whole US debt going on, everyone is really nervous right now. It's hard to find a trend to trade these last couple days. The key to trading is "adaptation." My suggestion is instead of looking for a trade on H4 or H1 like the founder recommended, go down to M15 charts. One could squeeze couple pips here and there from the market. Well, only if you're comfortable with lower time frame. When you're unsure or market is choppy, don't force trades and stay away! If only I take my own advice

Thanks for the pick up. Actually I have been trading the 5 and 15 min time frames for the past year. I switched to Big E's system for high probability, and less time in front of the computer. There are hardly any trends that run. It has been just spurts up and down, here and there. I guess everyone is waiting for Aug 2. Good luck
