Hi, Dean, thanks for the advice, trades are looking pretty ugly, indeed. As you said , TDI crossings seemed very nice.

I find most of the time TDI is overbought or oversold, it means the pair has been trending. It's been a bit hard to find entrances that are in the direction of the trend without having TDI exhausted.

Plus the AU GU candles look a little weak. Decent tdi angles and areas though.

still learning the ropes of forex trading, and decided to stick with this simple method. been reading the thread, babypips, backtesting... Still trying to get the hang of it though

a few observations which i hope will help others who are starting out with this system... nothing new here, but to reiterate

1. TDI cross and 2nd candle rule is just a signal to only start considering an entry. Forex trading basic fundamentals must be applied

2. to start using this method, you must read babypips school first if you are just starting out.

3. back-testing old charts is one of the best methods to learn. there is a trading simulator EA here which can do this really easily

4. don't be lazy and read the whole thread. i did. And spent hours hours over weekends backtesting old charts

why would you look at EU long when it is above 50 and going higher?
or is that what you mean by "getting the proper confirmation"?

I got the confirmation on my chart for both those pairs and jumped in. relatively small TP on both around 35 pips each. still equal to 3% of account balance per trade.

The 50 line is not part of the original rules, some people us it, some dont. I dont think big E does, and i dont, i use something else from the Dean Malone setup, PM me if interested.

still pletny of room to move at 50....its more a problem if its near the extrem overbought or oversold areas (32 and 68)

Hey drifter....you're right...Big E doesnt use it much.however he loves seeing the tdi coming out of overbought for a short and vice versa....but as he said....he has seen them move 100 pips up near the extremes, so at the 50 line there is plenty of room to move.. Some even only take longs when the tdi is over 50 becasue thats how they consider the trend being bullish.

My day chart looks good on TDI, however - Stochastics above 80 and PA moving into resistance area

Ive actually included the number 2 TDI line in my trading. As dean Malone suggests, i only buy above the yellow line and sell below it

in the attached chart the green circles show good trades on the corret side of the yellow line and the red ones are on the wrong side. If you do a bit of backtesting using the yellow line as a filter you will see that it keeps you out of alot of bad trades (and some good ones too).
