First day using TDICloseCross, not bad.

It happened again that there was one trade was opened and closed at once, the net is 0. Couldn't figure out why. This happens once in a while.
When strange things happen I just set and watch and try to see what the Robot is doing when trades take place. Sometimes it seems it has a mind of its own. If you use just close on cross you have better chance of it not doing this unless the Green and Red lines are very close to other the Green could jump to the other side of the Red as these values are updated on each Tic.

Glad to see your having some luck so far with the EA. Hopefully we can find a way to eliminate these quick reversals once a trade is entered and you are then closed out.

Yesterday was a "flat trade" day, and the results are very good for this day.

Are you using TMS_V6_Z and these settings?

settings:
TP & SL = 0
ATR multiplier = 50
Fractal SL= on
TDICloseOnNeg = true
slope = 4
Usecountertrend = true
tradeonce = true
trade 24 hours
others :default

I see from earlier posts you did have some losses, what caused these losses and are there any changes to the EA that may help prevent them?

Also, how many pairs are you running the EA on?

Thanks for posting your results. I hope more start doing this so we can see if there are any further improvements we can make to the EA.

Hi all. Sorry for not contributing over this past week. I have been traveling for work and had very limited access. I see that alot has occurred since I left on my trip. I look forward to testing V6_Z this week and discussing results.

Thanks for sharing your time and expertise with us i have read through this thread and got the impression that the EA while placed on the 4H chart takes entry trade signals from the 5M chart .
I also notice that members are having trades open and close quite rapidly at a loss.
I do not know anything about coding ,and have not tried the EA my self . only read the reports.
But i would like to suggest that you take the entry signals from the 1H chart instead. You will have less trades but more profitable ones. Secondly the daily chart crosses long after the trades are gone so you can leave that out of the criteria for entry.

Yes, I do use v6_Z but I have set ZoneMultiplier = 0. I demo trade on 20 pairs.
For the last 2 days, I have turned off the TDICloseNeg and turn on the TDICloseCross, the purpose is to give price more room to move. I am not sure it is pure luck or what, the EA has two good days in a row after the change. It seems to have a higher chance to hit the PT. On the other hand, the loss will be bigger if TDICloseCross is hit.

I do hope there are more people to demo test this EA to test out various settings. This EA cannot be back tested because once TradeOnce is turn off, it will generate crazy trades. But if TradeOnce is set to true, there will only be one trade and no more. Therefore we need more "manpower" to do tests to find out the best settings.

It would be nice if you could code it in such a way that the EA can re-set itself to trade on the next bar once the last trade is close. In this way, I don't need to turn on the EA for every trades closed and I believe then back test would be possible.

Let's work together to make it better !!

At first you said:

and now you say:

I think it would be beneficial to have the option to not use the 5 minute for an entry as well. I think when the 4hr candle opens and it gives a signal, it would be a good time to get in. Big E uses the opening of the candle as his signal and does not use the lower timeframes to choose his entry. If at the open of the candle it continues to go up for a while you miss possible the biggest part of the move waiting for a retrace on the 5 minute.

The daily is only the Trend of the Middle Line of the TMA and can be turned off by setting "UseCounterTrend" to false, I do not use the cross of the TDI in the daily time frame, as you said, its to slow.
I can add a settings so you can select what time frame you want to use for TDI entry, I will add it to my list of things to add to the next version.

Here is the next version, just added the setting "TdiTradeOpenTimeFrame" so you can set which TDI time frame you want the EA to open the trade in with the TDI Crossing, the default is 240 minutes, this use to be 5 minutes.

Good to have this option. Thank you Seller. Presently I'll stay with 5 minutes to continue the test. I think using 240 minutes could be a two edge sword. Using 5 minutes, sometimes you may get a better entry if the price retrace before moving on but sometime a not so good entry if the market is trending strongly. I hope someone can test it out and compare.

You should not use my parameters, it is duplicating our efforts and wasting our time. What you should do is to test other parameters so we compare notes and work together to find out the best set of parameters.

I can't see other way since this EA cannot be back tested.

Anyway, here are my settings:

To generate more trades, it is important that Usecountertrend = true and put the EA on more pairs. I put it on 20 pairs and get around 5 to 10 trades per day.

Once again, I urge everyone interested in this EA to do testing of your own parameters and compare results on this forum. You are not contributing if you are just sitting there and waiting for others to do the work.

Sellers has done a lot and let's do our part to contribute !!!!!!

I received the following message "order send failed with error(136) off quotes" this evening when the EA attempted to trade USDCHF.

Can anyone tell me what it means ?
