M15 Trading Method (help required!)

Silver has pissed me off today been on the wrong side twice l and s bastard thing....

I haven't been all week, hence the change of signature!!

normally I wouldn't of took the GU trade which is up currently and doing okay, but " nothing to it but to do it " works nicely

just going to keep trading my setup and repeating until it stops working, looks like it's a long term keeper this time but hey we'll see.

GU was a nice example just, you'd of thought No chance, but took it and 70% of the time it'll work and make 2x's+ the profit.

That Stat's are holding out and it's much less tricky than M1 which helps.

Agee but when you think about it the M1 was or is a great training ground ....trade M1 you can trade 'em all now to make the most of that education

it was a serious question. turveyd can keep saying how i've only been demoing for 2 years. and i'm happy to let him believe whatever makes him sleep better at night. but, turveyd has been bleeding real money for something like 6 years. should i expect some degree of respect if i start claiming i've been bleeding money for 7, 8, 10, 20 years? that doesn't even make sense and is ridiculous. so that is what it is. why 6 years of losing trumps x years of not losing is beyond me.

so again, have you taught him something that will make this time different from the efforts of the last 6 years? i wasn't quoting before. when i say "this time different" i say so with the understanding that surely there must be evidence of finally making a dollar instead of bleeding 10 dollars as per each and every previous attempt as recorded over the last however many years on this forum on countless threads.

if you have learned how to make a dollar from your m1 trading, then for turveyd to now have a profitable expectancy then it must surely come from you as his m1 expectancy has always been negative and surely didn't teach him how to profit at all as evidenced by his posts on the factory.

something must be different this time around else this is just another iteration of losing money. i'm curious if that something different is you, or is it purely more wishful thinking and the past will again repeat and in a few months time another thread will be started based on some other random timeframe and MA's.

turveyd : i have no interest in "scrapping" with you. my age, my trading experience, my expectancy, none of it matters when i'm not on a forum opening threads claiming i am now suddenly profitable all of a sudden with no reason for anyone to believe me and evidence suggesting the exact opposite. i look at your past posts and efforts. i look at your current posts and efforts. i read what you say. i see what you do and don't understand. i conclude that you have no edge now and clearly never have previously. i see nothing different this time than previously. you appear to be chasing your tail getting nowhere, but expecting different results with no reason to expect any different.

so, seriously, what makes this time different apart from a different timeframe and the current fad combo of MA's?

you can take this as a serious question, or you can ignore it and continue whatever this thread is supposed to be (considering it's in discussion it runs like a journal). something MUST be different this time apart from cherry picking a new timeframe and MA's for the outcome to suddenly be different. you can't keep randomly trading and expect profit. that's clearly not how it works.

i don't even care or want to know what the edge if you claim to have one. i'm merely curious why you have such belief in yourself when time after time you have burned your cash in the market bonfire. my suspicion is you have simply lost the plot entirely and are living on faith and hope. so is it wishful thinking, hope, or finally a real deal edge and not random luck, and your time bleeding cash has finally paid off with a new level of knowledge that previously didn't exist.

Bleeding money for 6 1/2 years ?? I'd hardly call £1500 bleeding money, I've been profitable a few times then work gets in the way and didn't trade at all due to work for all of 2009 I think.

Firstly before critising anyone else for trying, shouldn't you prove that your not bleeding money or trading demo games as you've already said ?? You realise you can post above pretty much to every thread on this entire site ??

Sorry I can't be arsed to answer your question, your an arrogant fool who believes in the magic of indicators and has a personal jive cause I think there crappola, give it a few years you'll likely think the same or would of stopped trading.

If you want to chime in constructive help with the task of profiting from the market feel free, anything else is distracting from the purpose of trying to profiting so please keep your opinion to yourself or back on banned.

you make excuses as to why you lose instead of owning the responsibility. there's nothing honourable or clever about giving money away. you'd get a better buzz going to the casino and blowing some cash there. you are either making money or losing money... "£1500" is still bleeding money, albeit slowly. it's certainly not making money, right?

i could give you my entire trading account history statement. it wouldn't matter to you. you are determined to block-out everyone who doesn't agree with you because you can't fathom that others might actually have a better perspective than you and some have put in more work than you. if i said i was wildly profitable you'd call me a liar so i can't win there, and if i said i was not profitable you would say anything i said is worthless and again can't win there... yet you aren't profitable and consider everything you say to be the beginning, middle, and end. you have both profitable and unprofitable traders telling you things and you just ignore it all and say they are all wrong and full of nonsense, while you continue to lose and don't seem to want to educate yourself further to give yourself a chance. if you keep burning your hand on a hot plate do you keep repeating the same mistake over and over, or do you stop and learn from it? an electrician isn't someone who has found a million ways to electrocute himself.

2 things. 1, if you "can't be arsed" then you shouldn't have posted this. my question was simple. edge, or no edge? your buddy says he knows how to make a dollar which is great, therefore he must be coaching you on how to cap that bleeding account of yours. but if you "can't be arsed" then this implies that you have no edge. if you jump on the interactive threads and read the types of stuff being posted and it sounds like the type of nonsense you yourself think and post then you KNOW you aren't going to get anywhere. they aren't getting anywhere, so why should you or anyone else with the same thoughts and ideas?

2, i know very well how much bullshit indicators are when everyone uses them the way they do. anyone who has spent any amount of time learning about trading knows this. the difference is that everyone is OBVIOUSLY using them wrong and myself and a few others who have taken the time to really contemplate a few things can see use in some of them from a DIFFERENT perspective. indicators are either complete bullshit and useless, which is your current stance while you still continue to use MA's anyway, or indicators provide some other form of information that most people are completely overlooking and don't realize. if you want to keep looking at indicators as buy and sell signals then you will never see past this simplistic perspective. if that's what you want to do then you should just ignore any discussions on the net about leading indicators vs lagging indicators. you will only find frustration otherwise.

the crazy thing is that you want to say how crap indicators are, but you continue to use indicators yourself. is it a winning and profitable mentality to use something you claim doesn't work and has no value?

seriously, you are better off just keeping me on ignore. nothing i say will EVER be of help to you because you don't want to consider the possibility that what you do and say is wrong and that others might have a better perspective on things than you. your account balance is your number 1 critic and adviser, and you ignore that. if you won't listen to what your own account is telling you then you certainly won't listen to anyone else.

your problem is that you are far too comfortable and even happy to not be a profitable trader. this is your cigarettes and bourbon, and you are happy to smoke and drink (and trade) your money away for entertainment. you aren't serious about trading at all and don't want to be a part of the few who can extract money from the market. you just want to play around. this is the equivalent of you learning just the swear words of a foreign language, while others are trying to become completely fluent and you are just making noise in the corner.

Actually im pretty serious plan is after all to grow the account 20%+ per week on average to get to full time in approx 6 monthd.

Been checking the charts over for the past week, I definately have a edge, quite a big edge, more of an edge than I had with M1 with less downsides, why else would I be dropping M1.

Lack of time for live day trading is a major issue in dropping M1 to.

Slap a Envelope 200ema 0.06% Dev on a M15 chart, study how often the market hits this area and reverses or the effect of it crossing and the odds are it'll be a good direction change.

Study the same on M5 and the same on M1 if you've got the time to monitor, every 10mins and 2 mins ( 30mins for M15 does )

ever read "fooled by randomness"? it's not a requisite to understand the general concept of randomness, and it's a very boring read... but you might do yourself a favour by reading it. or even better, read the zurich axioms which i believe someone has even posted a pdf of here. there are a few chapters that might make you have a think about things.

i don't need (or want) to know your plan. a plan is not an edge. your plan won't reach any milestones without an edge getting you there. so far you have avoided the question on edge completely. either you have now got a killer edge, or you are just repeating history.

so far everything you have said on this forum suggests you really haven't put the time into any study, or have studied the wrong things and then stopped and given up. take it or leave it, but your posts are at the level of someone who has been learning about trading for about a month or so, and not years and years. you sound like you have plateaued in your learning curve very quickly and simply aren't capable of progressing and now completely shut-out everyone around you and shut out the possibility that others are talking about things beyond your current ability to appreciate. it's one thing to research and learn about something, and another thing entirely to adamantly deny concepts you clearly don't understand. maybe you need some form of inspiration, or a new idea that sparks some new thinking. i don't know.

it doesn't matter since this is simply a hobby for you. a game. you don't need, or want advice. you don't need or want to learn anything new. you are content as you are. you are not in this to win it. you are in it to occupy some of your time.

there must be better hobbies out there.
