night boyz and girlz.....just got back from a week on the road with the family........took the trading station along with me.....posted a few pics the other night for the peeps.........anyways.....pips were good and the casino windsor paid for half my stay........

Spot on. I would stay out normally, but might take a punt today especially if we move a bit more and Im not risking much AND because of what Ive read about possible direction of it being in my favour this time... but its still nuts.

Dont forget about SLIPPAGE and the fact your stop might get taken out a decent amount in excess of what youve set it to.

Youre dancing with the devil with NFP, but sure, the gains are very tempting...

Anyone tried a box strategy with it, a bet each way? with tight stops either side, surely that could work??

Before maybe things start to pick up I have to get this out of my system. Cant get it out of mind tonight and will be my trading groove to the end the week.

Looking at taking a small long from 4324. H4 bullish diveregence showing and H1 getting close to being oversold. If this level does not hold, 4300 will be my next area of interest.

This is very true . there are more pips in minute tf than can be seen H1 tf straight, should be many 2 folds. so people goes for more trades or more pips in shortest period of time .just people how how play with their money, person specific.
Again market is so unreliable in other sense that people just simply can't rely any to set a trade & sit idle for hours because it goes up & down so frequent & not any smooth in hourly chart not even in daily too.

If one to follow your suggestion playing hourly chart then he may to place very few trades a day with limited risks ofcourse & limited profit also. hit sl or tp & with good strategy may increase the odds also. should be ideal.
nfp can do anything as people reacts most to it .

Why would you wanna "pick" it, just wait and you'll see what the direction is, jump on the bandwagon and collect pips. Simple as that.
I always trade NFP and fairly successfully so far.

do your research, if you are a poor college kid, put in an order for a $1 pip, if you are past those years, put in one order for a $5 or 10$ pip, plug in your fibs from past longer term swing trades {quite often news spikes will touch a fib line} and then watch the market.

After high volatility on some news, I watch for how the 5m an the 15m candles close after the news ...
